Bulls-Kings-Suns

Post#1 » by KyleBenhart » Sat Dec 12, 2015 5:00 am

Bulls Trade- Taj Gibson, Tony Snell Aaron Brooks and the Kings Protected pick
Bulls Get- Ben Mclemore and Darren Collison

Bulls get a a Capable Wing with Some potential still left in the tank ( although, i think its clear he will never be a GREAT PLAYER) and a PG Who can Back up and potentially start should Rose get hurt.

Roster

Rose/Collison/Hinrich
JImmy/Mclemore
Dougy/Dunleavy
Niko/Portis
Noah/Gasol

Suns Trade- Markieff Morris
Suns Get- Taj Gibson and the Kings Protected First round pick

I know alot came over Morris when his brother was traded, and im still not sure he is happy there. that, and he really has not played great overall. like i think they expected him to, could lead to a trade. they get Back taj who can fill in for him as a starter, and get a Future pick from the Kings.

Roster

Bledsoe/ ]Price
Knight/ Booker/Goodwin
Warren/Tucker/
Taj/Teletovic
Chandler/Len

Kings Trade- Ben Mclemore and Darren Collison
Kings get- Markieff Morris, Aaron Brooks, and Tony Snell

Kings Get a PF which can really move Boogie ( who can play PF) back to his natural center position where he is able to use athleticism more to his advantage. that, and Morris help them to space the floor better, allowing boggie to work more inside. they also get Brooks, who is a solid Backup PG, and Snell, who is a good shooting Wing Defender, who just lacks the tenacity to take his tools and bring them to the next level.

Roster

Rondo/ Brooks
Bellineli/Snell
Gay/ Casspi/ Butler
Morris/ Cauley-Stien
Cousins/Koufos

Thoughts, is it balance, or is somebody getting/giving to much.

Awful for the Kings, great for the Bulls and more than the Suns could possibly hope for in a Kieff trade. The Suns are just sucking out value here. Cut them out of the equation. The Bulls can't get Collison and McLemore for Gibson, Brooks, Snell and Kings pick. They might get one of them and filler. Brooks and Snell have very little trade value.

Kings would want to cut the Suns out and deal directly with Chicago to get Gibson.

Adding a poor three point shooting lazy defender would be a bad match with Cousins.

Are you talking about Cousins? Because Taj is everything but lazy

I'm talking about the OP's deal which has Markieff Morris going to the Kings.

As a suns fan there is no reason to include them in this trade:

Bulls trade:
Gibson/Snell/Brooks/some sort of pick
Kings trade:
Mclemore/Collison

call it good

I agree, I like the Bulls-Kings for Chic-Sac gets their pick back, Taj and Snell (who they like at the draft).

Bulls get a solid back up PG and a nice, young wing to back up Butler and Dougie-Plus Portis gets minutes

You can say a lot of things about Morris, but he is a very hard worker on and off the court. I have not heard or seen any evidence that suggests otherwise.

He's a lazy defender every time I see him play.

You will need to watch a little more film on him then. He is not an all-defensive candidate, but he does put in effort. He was actually ranked very highly in DRPM last year (#8 for PF's) as well. Here is the link for reference.

I agree with LakerHater in the fact that I ALSO HATE THE LAKERS, and it never seems like Kief sells out to do anything, almost like he is too cool for the room, while a guy like Faried is flying around at all times. He has a superstar aura (that he thinks about his self) but is actually only slightly above average.
