It was obviously done to prevent some freak injury to Rodgers in case the Cowboys decided to get dirty and start diving at knees for a fumble but I can't remember if it was with Flynn or someone else a few years back where he was fumbling the snap. Might sound weird but it's good getting him comfortable taking snaps just in case.

You only see that in playoff games, not vs a team down 3 scores. I think the only guy that did was the moron in TB that was fired a year or two ago.

Also you would think Tolzien is plenty comfortable with Trettor at that is point, since they were back up together. In the end it's a nothing play, just seemed weird.

I squandered an asset? Then Hammond taught me well.

I don't share your excitement because the passing game is still struggling.

Even with a running game gashing the Dallas defense repeatedly, when we tried play-action, often receivers still couldn't get open.

Aaron had 218 passing yards and most came on short passes and screens. I'm all for some run after the catch pass plays, but that's not going to be enough in the playoffs vs good defenses that don't allow the Packers offense to run for 150-200 yards or more.

At some point either the receivers will have to get open more often downfield on their own or the coaching staff will have to figure out a better way to scheme guys open.

All year long we've seen Rodgers a bunch of times each game have plenty of time to throw, yet he's forced to stand in the pocket looking looking looking for an open receiver before he finally just throws the ball away or gets sacked.

You are right the passing game is not cured, but we took a HUGE step forward. For the first time in 6 weeks we saw WR screens! We more creative routes, we saw bunch formations. They are going to have to CONTINUE to scheme guys open and I have some faith with MM finally back in the driver's seat he's going to find more ways to do it.

This was the first game in a long time where it wasn't vertical one on ones with no one open EVERY passing down.

James Jones is still slow and Davante is still Davante, and Dick Rodgers is still a slower plodding target. That's not going to get fixed when 3/4 of your pass catchers are slow and can't beat single man coverage. I think they are going to have to scheme JJ and give us more Abby, a healthy abby (oxymoron) is better than a gimpy Davante. Even if they just split reps I'm ok with it. It seems abby gets like 10 - 15 snaps and he's done.

Maybe just maybe MM realizes he's got slow WRs and he's going to get creative and make due with what they have. I saw that today unlike the last 2 months. It gives me hope for the future.
