I guess one way of looking at it would be that:

- The Teletovic/Chandler pairing is arguably an upgrade over Frye/ Gortat (Better D, more reliable shooting & interior play)
- Bledsoe has improved
- Knight, while not everything Dragic was, is a purer shooter and is still young enough to improve
- Tucker is still Tucker
- our 3rd PG knows he is our 3rd PG, and won't have the starters second guessing their roles
- Len and Kieff (possibly) off the bench is much better thanLen and Kieff starting
- Young wings are improved

The promise is there, fingers crossed it all comes together.

How much PT do you guys reckon Teletovic will get this season? I guess it depends on Markieff but can you see him getting 30 mins??

I think he'll get about 24 minutes a game. I think we'll see a bit of Len/Chandler, maybe around 12 minutes a game.

I expect that too, actually I hope that. It would be effective against teams like Memphis. Len can guard Zach Randolph.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Mirza average over 28 minutes/game when it's all said and done. Good fit next to Knight/Bledsoe/Warren/Chandler(Len) as well.

It all depends on what happens with Keef.

Well. He had a rough start, but in December Mirza is averaging 13 and 5 in 19 minutes. He is shooting 49% overall and 45% from the 3. The only negative I really see is his horrible free throw shooting, which is likely an aberration with a small sample.

He is a threat every time he touches the ball, just what you need from your bench gunner.

he was always worse from free throw line than what you would normally see from a elite three point shooter. at least that's my impression, and i'm pretty much following him throughout his entire career.

i wouldn't expect much improvement in that department if i were you.

Mirza Teletovic

Post#50 » by Lillard2LA » Sun Jan 10, 2016 3:08 am

Teletovic was diagnosed with blood clots in his lungs last January. Now it's one year later and he's working on his best season in the NBA. He has been stepping it up the past four games, averaging over 15 ppg. Here's a little something about him:

How would you rate his performance this season? Any fans of his in here?

He has pretty bad transitional defense letting his man slip by him but as a shooter off the bench you just want him for his offence.

In a rebuilding team not much point committing to a 30 year old role player.

But if the FO still see us as 8th seed next season, they might think they have to fill the 20m cap increase, so why not.

He's been pretty quiet until the past month so it's good to see him find some consistent production. His defense is still pretty appalling but his offense is potentially potent. I think of him as a Gerald Green replacement although not as likely to drop 25 on any given night.

He's probably better off on a team like the Clippers but I don't mind him here.

Mirza Teletovic sets NBA record for most 3-pointers in a season by a reserve

Power forward Mirza Teletovic added a positive to the record books for the Suns’ 2015-16 season.

Teletovic made his 165th 3-pointer of the season with 8:22 remaining in the second quarter against the Atlanta Hawks Tuesday, setting a new NBA record for the most 3-pointers made by a reserve in one season.

He passed Chuck Person’s record of 164 made 3-pointers, set in the 1994-95 season with the San Antonio Spurs.

The 30-year-old started only one game this season and has played in 75 of the team’s 78 games.

Able to hit 3-pointers without the recommended footwork and at almost any angle, Teletovic has been one of the lone bright spots for the Suns this season.

Teletovic has scored 20 or more points in nine games this season while averaging only 20.8 minutes per game off the bench.

He finished with 12 points on 3-of-8 shooting from three Tuesday in the Suns’ 103-91 loss to the Hawks.

The Bosnian and Jon Leuer will both be unrestricted free agents this summer, leaving the Suns with no power forwards on the books for next season.
