Again Bayern is the only one, while Spanish League will probably have three teams for sure. When will your teams learn to defend? I mean it was embarrassing to watch Leverkusen in CL
As you bring it up yourself.
What exactly was included in your bet with cgf about Gladbach gaining maybe one point from the group stages?
Or did you correct yourself over and over again until you had yourself covered enough to not lose anything?
Oh, and will Gala get a free ticket to the quarterfinals or how will they make it there?
I mean that was an "easy group" for you guys, as far as I can remember you talking about after the draws, and you certainly had a top eight team on your hands.![]()
Anyways, also nice to see you still doing your old trick of only using partial stats to support your stuff.
I mean, it would be really bad to use the complete package, make a fair assessment and look at the big picture cause that would not support your ideas...
I explained this before but let me explain it one more time as it seems you probably missed it.
CL draws happened on August 26, 2015. At that point, we still had Felipe Melo and Alex Telles. When I saw the teams that we were going to face, I said we would go through with our current squad. Then our "smart" president sold Melo and Telles on the last day of the transfer deadline and did not sign anyone else. I lost my hopes at that stage due to we had no DMC whatsoever. To lose Melo was a big problem to overcome but in addition to that not signing anyone for that position was a bigger problem.
So like think about Manchester City losing, Aguero and Yaya Toure or Barcelona Messi and Neymar. I am not saying our players were as good as those players but importance wise to their current teams, Melo and Telles were damn important to us. We lost our best players after I said, we would qualify. If we lost them before the group stages drawings, I would never say we would qualify. And even after we lost them, I wrote on here that we would probably finish third.
I predicted maximum 4 points for Monchengladbach. I am sure Favre wasn't going to win 4 points but after he left team played much better. Regardless of the change, I had rights to take the bet or not. I am not stupid, I predicted Favre was going to lose his job soon and I did not take the bet. This doesn't make me a coward, it actually makes me smart because I take "logical" bets. I am not an idiot who is going to take bets even though I knew I was going to lose like cgf. I forgot how many times he lost against me so far.

cgf wrote:Based on how he's played this season I would not argue with you. But Baba was excellent last year, just a step down from Alaba/RR, and he wouldn't be the first talented player who had a horrible first half season in England early in his career; nevermind that it's been even harder for him to settle in and find his form because of what a **** club he joined.
It is Buli. All attacking winger backs and attackers look good in that league. Just like Baba.
He is a horrible player. Go on to any Chelsea fan forum, people want him to go away asap. You can claim he was wonderful all you want, he is not a Chelsea caliber player and he sucks badly. I don't even go into top 5 lb in the world thing.

Come on man.
Be a man and accept that you lost a bet to cgf, no matter how you're trying to spin it now.
You also said after the draw, that Gladbach would be lucky to get a point and that had nothing to do with Favre being the manager, as he'd still been the one that brought the club from relegation playoffs to the champions league.
It was also before that losing streak.
I also said that Favre looks lost/out of ideas and might be done soon.
Does that make me smart as well?
BTW: And no, Felipe Melo and Alex Telles wouldn't make your club a top eight team in the CL, like you've stated before, and it wouldn't have been enough to make it to the knockout stages most likely as well.
Those two would've needed to play out of their minds to get this team into the round of 16, given that the team couldn't even beat Astana.
And as far as the draws goes:
I hope Citeh gets PSG(at least one of them sheikh clubs would be gone) and Juve will probably draw Bayern, Real or Barca for not being able to get a point at Sevilla, when it was all that was needed to secure first place in the group.

I might have to put money on Juve. Guardiola will fail again in the knockouts sooner than later.

RIP Roma, Chelsea and PSG should be a good match as well as Bayern and Juve.

So if Citeh do what they do in europe we could see no English or Italian clubs past the round of 16; letting FC VW prove via Massi-logic that they are better than any team from either of those leagues? Nice.

Re: 2015
yes I saw it coming so I can't be tooooo bummed out. Now that we have picked ourselves back up I do believe Juve are the best team behind Barca/Bayern. It should be a good couple games but Kingsley Coman will score with his penis in the 96th minute of the second leg to knock us out --you heard it here first

Re: 2015
If anyone can pull an upset its definitely Juve. I dont think City chokes in the 16.

I think so to; and think they'll put a thumping on the ukranian champs in at least one of the legs; but I have a friend who's been a citeh fan since the year before the sheiks arrived...which is why he thinks they are cursed by his accidental bandwagoning...and his cynicism about their ability to **** it up in europe has rubbed off on me greatly. So I can't help but wonder if Citeh won't do what they do and **** the bed now that they've finally gotten an easy draw...kinda like you guys did last year when you finally avoided Bayern/Barca in the round of 16.
Now they are more loaded than you were, and Kiev isn't as tough as Monaco was; but until I actually see Citeh not **** it up, on some level, I'll be expecting them to come out flat and flirt with getting upset until Aguero saves them. And though I don't trust the ukranian defense enough to really pull it off, they do have weapons of their own with which to take advantage of a sloppy and lazy ManCity side as long as the EPL club is wasteful enough with their own chances.
Especially with Yarmolenko playing possessed football as he tries to force his way onto a bigger club, after Kiev's boss refused to sell him despite the ukranian forward delivering the title that he was promised would allow him to leave with the club getting the way.

It would be a lot of fun, even if I don't expect Citeh to actually get eliminated, but I'm good with Juve upsetting Bayern if they can pull it off. The coefficient should be secure so long as VFL & PSG don't **** the bed, and Mourinho doesn't pull off a miracle.
