If Cerrone somehow wins, then they make that McG/Cowboy fight for sure.
thats what they say before every MCG fight.
conor is right until proven wrong.. at least in my book
In my book, as great as McG has been, he isn't "proven" to that point of an GSP, Silva, Jones and all the other great champions who have gone through years and years of destroying the toughest competition to be "right until proven wrong"
GSP has beaten some of the best strikers, power punchers and grapplers in the world. So has Silva, so has Jones and so has Aldo. Multiple times.
Mendes took on Conor on short notice and still managed to take Conor down multiple times. RDA is not only significantly bigger, he's also a better, more versatile striker than Mendes.
McG has beaten one wrestler. If he beats another great grappler then I could give him the "right until proven wrong" status. But until then, I think RDA doing all the things I mentioned above could absolutely happen. Does that mean RDA will wreck Conor? No. It just means it's a super risky fight and I could see Dana not wanting to give him that match ups.
