He might work well with someone like D-Mo (Offensive 4/5 that has good positional/Man Defense), but I'll take my chances on hoping for Paul George lite (Oubre).

I think Noel would fit at center for most teams. Center is the one position where you don't need great offensive skills. I don't see why he can't become the next Tyson Chandler or Joakim Noah. Those players don't need uniquely super-talented players at other positions to allow them to thrive. They just need competent players at other position.

There's always room for a big man who can rebound, defend and get his offense from offensive rebounds and transition.

How bout beal to boston for some of there picks (preferably the nets 1st) and filler. Partial reboot with draft and sign a decent to good vet or two in free agency if durant plans fail. AND GET A NEW COACH.

I'd rather get back Crowder, if Boston would do it. Productive, mature, hard-working, TERRIFIC defender, and signed pretty damn cheap for the next five seasons.

its sheridan, so 5% chance its true, but even without that rumor I thought there was a chance Dwight might look for a new home soon

Gortat, Hump, Blair, protected 1st for Dwight?

If you can get Durant to okay a permanent move to PF (as George has done with tremendous results), that gives you the offensive PF you need to with Noel. Tyson Chandler's greatest success - easily when he was teamed with Dirk. DeAndre Jordan's rise to prominence - playing with Blake Griffin. We have the backcourt, and Otto can be a bigger Danny Green at SF. We'd still need to add another good solid PF for depth, but that's doable.

I wouldn't have thought Durant would want to play PF for more than a few minutes a game, but again - with George's success there - maybe that changes his thinking.

Dwight can opt out of his contract in July.

Right. The idea is to try to get the inside track on the situation--much like Gortat.

Wall
Beal
Porter/Oubre
Durant
Dwight

Pretty appealing.

Whoa.. Wiz do not want anything to do with Dwight. His next contract max starts at close to $30M/year.. this is for a guy who is 30yo and already can't even play back-to-backs.

He's going to be a more expensive Nene in a few years, let Houston deal with him.

He's already way more expensive than Nene. How much do you think Nene makes?

I think he means relative to the salary cap.

Dwight has no passion for basketball. I'd definitely pass.

I mean that he would be what Nene is to us now (and aging big man who is chronically injured, on an albatross contract), except his salary would be 3x greater. Don't see why anyone would want to deal with Howard and his issues at this point.

The Wizards should consider taking on some long term salary if they can significantly upgrade the roster. If they have a shot at Durant, plan on paying someone with a future pick to take some salary back from us.

For instance, New Orleans is rumored to want to get out from Asik's contract.

Then trade Nene and Humpries for Asik and Ryan Anderson. Plan on using a pick to unload Asik over the summer if need be.

I'd also talk to the Lakers about Hibbert, Lou Williams, Brandon Bass and Ryan Kelly.

I'd call the Nets about Thaddeus Young. Memphis about Zach Randolph and Courtney Lee. Etc.

I think upgrading our defensive center could help our woeful perimiter defense. If there's a good rim protector like Hibbert or Asik back there, the wings can stay home more.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, and filler for Porter and 2016 #1. Then Nerlens Noel for Gortat.

Why on Earth would Milwaukee do that? Why would Philly?

Stability for Phily
there is no way Greek stays in Milwaukee get something for a deep draft I would even do Beal and move porter to the two

Wishful thinking.

Philly is obviously all in on tanking. They're not going to trade Noel for a veteran stopgap who will only hurt their draft position while simultaneously taking developmental minutes from Okafor. That would be like us, two years ago, trading Bradley Beal for Aaron Afflalo.

And Giannis will stay in Milwaukee because he has no choice. He'll be a RFA and Milwaukee is sure to match.
