I hope this doesn't tilt off the chemistry we have been building over the last week..

It's interesting, I thought we landed him because no one else would secure the second year of that deal (if I recall).. If he actually thought he was going to play I understand him wanting out, though I thought he was coming here as sort of a player/coach mentor with the understanding of being a 11/12 guy. We aren't getting value for him IMO, it will be interesting to see where he goes

yeah,it seems a bit weird that he would want out for more playing time...

Remember the team meeting comment? How he hinted at he had much more he wanted to say?

It seemed like initially Caron was going to split minutes with Casspi but that was quickly put to an end by the Hebrew Hammer's messiah-like play.

I figured he was brought in to be the end of the bench vet. Yeah, maybe this has something to do with his lack of presence in the locker room more than anything?

I fully expect a trade exception and a top 60 protected draft pick.

Word on the street is Copeland. I bet we end up sending him + the Spurs pick + Dukan for Cope.

I would only offer Butler straight up for Copeland. He's not good enough to get all of that in return.

Think it depends on if Butler agree to get out of his deal for next season.

Another one to watch out for is Martin, which I'm not sure if our FO is interested in or not, but could see it.

Yea because the Spurs pick and Dukan hold value. . . .

I'm under the impression this trade isn't for a guy like Copeland, its just to make good with one of their players. The guy Kings get in return is gone at years end.

You think they want the second year of his contract for free?

Second to last pick in the draft, plus a guy whose never played has what sort of value precisely?

Seriously can you give any cheaper incentive to take a little salary than the 58th-59thh pick and a guy who was never drafted, nor played a second on the court?

Copeland holds less value himself than those two, he's a pretty horrible basketball player. All I'm saying is Butler is enough fair value straight up. He's making the vet minimum so it's not like his salary is some huge burden.

And taking your point one step further we reach my point- dukan and Spurs 2nd have no value, so don't be surprised if Vlade uses them to close the deal! It's good PR

Belinelli needs to shape up or ship out. He's been killing me all year after a positive preseason. If he's not a fit on the second unit or needs a better ball moving team than he's still a valuable piece somewhere. I really hope his assault on team +/- ceases, we don't have a margin for error here for this seasons playoff run

I agree and also his lack of defence is killing us.I thought he was a perfect fit since we will play 4 small 1 DMC and Cousins will find them open from the post but it is not the case and we dont need his offence to score.

Yep, no post play means less effective use of spacing. I think they are overusing Beli myself. Instead of being a spacer they are using him like the second coming of Reggie Miller. I like the movement but almost every shot he seems to get is a right off a screen, stop on a dime type. Those are hard shots to hit when you aren't in a rhythm.

I'd rather keep the Spurs pick seriously. Copeland is horrible. They should be throwing the 2nd round pick to get us to take him. Just release him and he can sign with whoever.
