I figured since Frye was a strong candidate for the vest there would be no rush to create the sweater vest thread. I didn't have time to look up the stats.

Frye had the team's best Plus/minus, and the player he defender had the Hornets worse Plus/minus. Basically Frye was "The Man."

It's not that, it's that OrlandO has been the SV creator all season and he's been MIA the last couple games. I think most of us like/tolerate Frye as long as he's doing those things he was brought in to do. Ok, the THING he was brought in to do, hit shots.

Channing was indeed the man last night on both ends and really showed how dynamic we can be when he is making his 3s. Lanes were so open because Charlotte was scared he would blow the game wide open and he did that anyway. He gets the vest for me. Honorable mention to Elf who played absolute amazing defense on Kemba Walker and made things happen on offense at will.

It's not really his makes, it's his attempts. It's straight up embarrassing for him to average two to three 3PAs per game. We have very few options on offense that are better than him taking that shot. It's up to the team to find him when he's open.

So uh is this the sweater vest thread?

Anywho Frye should be at the top of the list of a lot of positive +/- guys. Seemed like everyone played well. And we shot the 3 ball incredibly.

Popularity? I chose AN. Deserving of it due to performance? Frye.

I went Elf because he got deep and set up everyone for the open 3s, whether his assist or the hockey assist, while also limiting Char's best player.

just hope channing doesn't revert to... well channing. When hes hitting like that his presence alone helps our offense

the thing with channing always was his defense which is better these days and the fact that we didn't go to him enough. They have made an effort to look for him and find him and it's paying off, this will be on the opposing teams scouting report now but hopefully he'll become more of an actual threat now and it'll open up the floor more.

I went with Frye, but I'd like to give a shout out to Js for Days Smith. What a great super sub last night.

Elf and Kemba had identical stats of 12 pts 9 assist and 1 steal, crazy. I give credit to Payton for getting our offense rolling early in the game and limiting Kemba.
The future is bright 8-) Payton said. ``I just want to keep getting better and maybe one day I can be the all-time all assists leader for the Magic.’’

Had to give it to channing for his game of the year. Not expecting this every week but good to see he is still capable of heating up like that.
