biz couldn't have existed here
i think we did him a solid to release him and let him get his own looks than keep him here as a situational stopgap

Biz didn't have a choice in the matter, frankly it didn't matter what he wanted. Don't really understand that take.

Great game last night demonstrating the depth this team has, as well as the excellent teamwork that could carry them far. Lin stepped up strong in Batum's absence, earning his first golden hammer. Unfortunately Lamb was ineffective so Lin and Kemba had to play till they were ready to drop. Lamb's had good games before so hopefully he gets back in sync soon and is ready to step up. The Hornets have depth but with MKG, Al, and Nic all out we're getting near the bottom of the well.
The team play was fun to watch. The Hornets punch above their weight by relying on the entire unit instead of just individual effort. Hawes showed his talents again tonight with the long range shot and the on target interior passing. He appears to be becoming a bit better integrated into the offense.
Really excited about this team's potential. Finals are out, as that's clearly a class above where the team is now. But a 5th or 6th seed is possible, with a shot at second round. LONG way to go until then, but as Lin said in his interview the team has a high ceiling because many of they guys are new and still learning to play together, learning each other's preferences and tendencies. If they stay as healthy (or better) than they've been, they will continue to strengthen through the ASB.

Barkley and the guys from inside the NBA were praising Lin Lamb and Batum on TNT last night. Good to see them getting noticed on a national level.

I was (a) not surprised at all by last night - this is just the type of game Lin will get up for, and we have seen it before many times, and (2) felt bittersweet - to remember again there was this untapped potential. Yeah I know it's true for most players in NBA - but somehow the ceiling seems so high for Lin when we catch these glimpses.
Wondering what Lin's market in summer will be. Made giving CoreyJoseph what $24/ 3 years this past summer, over signing Lin look foolish ....
On to the next game! Go Hornets!!
I am not comparing Lin and Joseph... but we saw what Joseph did in the defensive end down the stretch (particularly in the 4th), players impact games different ways, he has pretty good for them... of course lin is underpaid, everybody knows that...
I am actually a fan of Corey Joseph - and his steals down the stretch were crucial.
Maybe I overstated things - I pick Lin over Joseph but if someone were to pick Joseph I don't have a strong opinion about it. But when you compare the hoopla surrounding Joseph's free agency versus Lin's. ... That's all.
Lin's play speaks for itself -- good or bad - .

- Got to the game early and saw Eryn G prepping on her laptop
- Met and got a pic with Dell Curry, gracious guy.
- Great arena and staff. Crowd started with low energy but got better by the end. Love them Honeybees.
- Hoped to see MJ but there was some other person in his seat. His bro?
- Raps were missing Valanciunas and Carroll; no Jefferson and Batum.
- Kemba and Lin had good chemistry on the sidelines, they were talking and high fiving.
- Really excited to see Daniels get early action but he was invisible out there. Still, he didn't seem to hurt the team.
- Hairston's solid play continued for another day. I'm warming to him slightly.
- It was throwback Thurs night. Didn't see any Gattison jerseys, sadly, just a few Bogues.
- Zeller made Biyombo look like Mutombo out there.
- Lin got his points efficiently, great to see him get extended playing time. But 47 min is a lot even for OT, maybe Lamb should've got in there more.
- Man, Kemba is fast. I feel like he could be attacking more with his speed. Would love to see a 5 out system for just a few minutes.
- Saw MKG taking about 40 free throws before the game. Looked smooth and was making most of them but still tucks in his elbow a little too much.
- Overall, felt lucky that I chose a great game for my first time at Time Warner!
Congrats on your first Hornets game in Charlotte. Really cool you were able to see Lin blow up like that in person. How did you like the arena? It's really a damn fine arena.

Barkley didn't even acknowledge Lin. It was Kenny and Shaq that gave him a shoutout. Barkley said it was the 2 guys, Batum and Lamb that made the difference in Charlotte this year. That's a slight on Lin even if he didn't mean it.

Charles will be Charles, not a big deal. He's never been the most impartial analyst.

Well they all have Lin his props for how good he did I'm the game but I think he said that about Lamb and Batum because no one really knew what to expect from them this season. You know what your gonna get out of Lin. Barkley was probably just drunk lol

I've only been to the TD North and the Staples Center but I thought Time Warner was pretty fantastic. We had great seats so that probably biased the experience.

Yeah, maybe. I get a kick out of Charles whether I agree with him or not. He slurs his words but I think that's just him. While big Shaq mumbles along. I always have to turn up the sound when Shaq talks. The smallest guy, Kenny, is clear as a bell and makes the strongest points.
