Anybody worried with how bad TT has played? JJ Hickson?

Post#1 » by mjj0062 » Wed Dec 16, 2015 9:34 pm

Guys there is no need to sugarcoat it anymore TT has been awful this season other then a few games earlier in the season. The only time he scores is off an alley-oop from delly. Not only that but he can't score consistantly outside of 2 feet from the basket. Defensively he has been bad on rotations, he hasn't been a good rim protector. I don't see the consistent effort from him that I saw in last year's postseason. Dare I say it he is a "contract player"?

I like Varejao and he has been solid in limited minutes so far this season, but I fear he will get injured. I believe with 1 of the Cavs trade exceptions they should go for JJ Hickson from Denver, offensively he is a great fit next to Lebron and is a better finisher at the rim the TT. It would be a great insurance policy if Varejao goes down and TT still isnt play good. What do u think? Denver has him on the trade block

Ofcourse, TT only looked good because of the hustle and rebounds in the payoffs but he was actually minus on the floor!
He only got that contract because of Lebron and obviously it would have been better for the Cavs if he had played for his qualifying offer.
We can't trade him, we are stuck with him for 5 years now.

He's been terrible. Hard worker my ass. He hasn't improved one thing since entering the league.

He is playing ok, on same level as last year, even through that is bad for the money he plays for.I'm not worried at all, he will probably improve a little bit as the season continues, and about his contract, after the cap rises, it will be still little too big, but it will not be such a horrible one as it seems now.

not even close my dude. He is a energy player who isnt playing with any energy, so he has been practically useless so far this season. Welcome to the board

Thanks for the welcome :D
I have to be honest and say that I haven't watched too much of a games this season due to a school things and time zone diffrence, but what I saw so far this season has been just like last season, no offensive production, solid defense and excellent rebounding.Well, if you guys are right, I hope that he will turn around, I really like him as a player and I think that his production could be important in the Finals.

I think he can defiantly turn it around if he starts playing with high energy. Tonight vs OKC and Xmas for Warriors are perfect opportunities for a break out game.

But so far this season he looks like a player who is satisfied with his contract, sadly.

He hasn't been bad. He just hasn't been worth his contract. Players don't get magically get better because you pay them more.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

Well TT had a monster performance tonight, I am very happy for him. If he can bring the energy he did tonight and the cavs get healthy they can win it all

In fact, quite often they get worse.

I've been really hard on him, but he was a monster tonight. 11 offensive boards! More games like that please!

He had a really good stretch of games after the bulls game and then he had a bad stretch of games. Was great tonight though.

His defence, like in the playoffs seems to rise to the occasion against the better teams.

We gotta remember he turned up 3 days before the season so it'll take a while. Him and Moz looking good tonight though.

Ok, you earned it for one game TT.
Love was -10 for the night, I felt like blatt wanted Love to sit out in the 4th since he felt the Cavs were way better with LEbron at the 4 rather than Love, at one point Love came to check in and Blatt told him to go sit back down, interesting.
Blatt knows his stuff and sometimes I feel like LEbron should be playing at the 4 to end games.

Love looks awful against good teams he's a complete non factor. How he ever scored 26ppg on grey efficiency is a complete mystery.

Small ball with TT at the 5 and bron and Delly in the game is statistically the best defensive lineup in the league.

He was moving with more fluidity, he ran the court better, he had more arc and air on his shot, better lift.
It still looks like he has back pain or something like that.

Also, Boban Marjanovic is a beast :( **** Spurs.

My favorite lineup is with TT at the 5 or the TT-Mozgov combo. When Irving gets back those 2 lineups are going to even look better and if Love plays like he did last night vs good teams he could find himself on the bench during 4th quarters.

He's been playing really well lately. Spurs scouts are great.

The dude is dominant as ****, Blatt should have known about him though, he signed for 2m for a year, Cavs couldn't have sign him then right? they could only sign Min contract players?

search him on youtube.
