The pelicans took a step back with their uptempo but no defense system. Terrible team this season. You'd think they would go up a rung...but Gentry will likely push to trade some players to make their team decent.

This post gets the much coveted Mr. Puddles stamp of approval.

I've never been a Keef Morris fan as a starter, but I think he works great as a back-up. This ameliorates his main weaknesses (his atrocious rebounding, and inability to defend bigger/ stronger guys), because back-up PFs usually aren't nearly as big and dominant as starters. Also, it would take a lot of pressure of Knight/Price to run the second unit offense - having a guy on the floor who can create his own shot, as well as pass the ball.

I don't think Keef will be willing to accept a role as second banana though, not even to the mighty John Leuer.

Most trade destinations will be using him as a second banana. Houston behind DMo, Pels behind Davis.

Glad somebody saw through this bone the Suns fed us tonight. I can't comment on the game, I FFW until Booker was put into the game, didn't happen, so didn't watch.

As long as the Suns organizations has stooges such some of the posters on this site supporting them no matter what, the Suns will continue signing guys like Price, Tucker, and Chandler and play them over Len, Booker, Warren........and even Goodwin.

My posts are in complete protest mode from here until this team fires Hornacek, and start playing the guys they draft big minute, especially when one of them is shooting 70 percent from three.

This win is meaningless!

Maybe you should change your board name to 'LenBook WarGood', since you are more a 'players fan' than a 'Suns fan'. Just my opinion, but maybe had you watched any of the game, you would have seen that Len actually got more minutes than Chandler, and played very well, overall--so I guess 'Lenbook WarGood' wouldn't be appropriate, maybe just 'BookGood', as you claim to desire to support Len over Chandler, but apparently, not enough to actually care about how he played or watch.

I get that you are disgruntled with the way Horny is executing his position, but instead of disregarding the whole team, maybe just focus your rants on Horny (and Kieff), but still support the team and other players than just a rookie who has happened to play well for less than half a season. Let me ask you this--what happens if Booker flops in the future, gets an attitude like Kieff or starts playing like Tucker--do you just move on to the next 'shiny' thing?

I get your frustration, I really do JMac, and you have watched more of the Suns than I have this season, so I probably have no room to speak on the matter, but I just think you could support the Suns while dissing Horny, or a select few players, but still support the team. You claim to agree that the Suns didn't win the game so much as the Pelicans lost it, but in the same breath, say you didn't watch any of the game--how do you know the Suns didn't play well and the only reason we won was because the Pelicans played so poorly?

So. This is how to be a Suns fan. Enjoy a win and enjoy that. Your young center is starting to roll into form under the mentorship of Tyson Chandler. He abused Asik, who is supposed to be a very good defensive center. He manhandled him on the boards, and Asik is a very good rebounder.

Let's enjoy the development of individual players. BTW, Booker's DNP did not bother me tonight. I know the coach knows what Booker is and what his potential is. He would not have been playing as many minutes and in the clutch minutes of close games if that were not true.

Yes. I would start Warren over PJ right now if it were men, but I think that is coming.

He really is. He's been pretty consistent in December. That jumper is looking more smooth and his confidence is growing. I liked that move he tried on AD and AD ended up getting a foul.

I don't know if you guys realized but nobody does Bledsoe highlights these days if it's not like 40 points 12 assists. I couldn't find his highlights for last 5-10 games.

For December his per/36 numbers are (and per 36 is a decent stat when there is a large enough sample size) 17 pts, 11.2 rebs, 2 blocks, and a steal and 4.2 fouls (he could play 36 without fouling out).

In that video, watch how he manhandles Asik, who is a big guy and historically one of the better defensive rebounders in the league. the rebound at the 46 second mark is an example.

Well I was up til 4am last night (Arizona time) and there wasn't any highlight reel videos anywhere of the game, not even on ESPN or NBA.
Also, Suns have a short highlight reel video of Bledsoe they posted on FB.

Just watched the game, and damn, I'm so glad we pulled that game out. Pels were fouling the hell out of us all game, with very little calls. We touch them, and whistle. Davis must have watched Duncan on those obvious moving screens, yet somehow, like Duncan, no calls.

Len took many shots to the head. I was impressed he kept his cool. I really love Price on defense. That dude just pesters every player he is put on. If all of our guys played like that, we'd have a killer defensive team. His offense isn't very good even though his shooting seems to be better than last time we had him.

Oh well, nice to beat them finally, and very interesting to see Morris get some burn.

This has to be the reason why he gets minutes. Its Horny's way of saying to Archie and Booker "You play D like that and you will get minutes too."

The Blesdoe/Len two-man-game is evolving nicely. If they keep it up, we could see something special. But we need to do it against a better defensive team for me to be a believer.

The funny thing is that when ESPN interviewed Hornacek, Horny seemed more concerned with the Pelicans guarding the 3 point line then he was excited about us getting points in the paint. ????? WTF?! Does the coach stress outside shots over easy high percentage shots? I sure as hell hope not.

Brandon Knight had a few incredible games early in the season and I was ready to admit I was wrong about him. But since those games he has been terrible. Steaky shooting, turnovers, and horrible passing. I still think he is just a glorified Gerald Green. Even when he gets his points, most of his points come at garbage time. Rarely does he score when we need a big bucket. That's what superstars do and he isn't a superstar. He's gonna lose his job to Booker. He could be a decent 6th man/spark plug for us, but I'd rather us trade him for the right pieces.

It was good to see Keef play with some hustle. But I don't trust him. I don't want to bet the rest of our season on him losing the attitude and escaping from his depression. If he starts playing well and it boosts his value, move him before he changes his mind.
