Agree. Though my only concern with Ingram is that he doesn't seem to move as smooth and fluid for his size as KD does. He seems a bit awkward. But I still like him as the guy Boston gets in the draft.

I dont see the awkwardness honestly. He looks that way because of his length...he is deceivingly explosive. great dunks last night

Hmm.. Then maybe it's just me. Very Walter McCartyish.

try going back and watching some old Kevin Durant videos from Texas...try to watch it as if you've never heard of Kevin Durant before and he's this new phenom. Then watch videos of Ingram. This might help you get over some of your concerns. fun exercise.

I don't think Ingram is awkward at all. he's actually very fluid for his body type. He'll need to fill in some, but he'll always be a rail

Let's say the pick ends up as the 5th-7th pick and your own and Dallas' picks ends up between 16-20.

What would you consider a decent choice after guys like Simmons, Brown, Ingram and two of Dunn/Bender/Skal/Poeltl are gone. Use the other picks to trade up? Draft bpa?

HEY! STOP MESSING WITH MY FANTASY! I don't want to have to think about that until we have to think about that

Simmons
Ingram
-
Bender
Brown
Skal

Trade it

If we get Ben ill lose my damn mind with excitement, and Ingram looks to be a special breed too... perfect fit if he develops as a primary scorer

Assuming those names are off, I'd say Ellenson or Jaylen Brown. Or trade but tough to predict that now.

Edit - lol just saw I missed you already said Brown. There will probably be other good names in there, Rabb or maybe Lawson or someone.

Top 6 I'm looking to draft are Simmons Ingram bender brown Poeltl and Skal. I think Dunn will go ahead of a few of those guys too. As long as the pick is top 7 we should get a nice piece. If we can't get one of the 6 I listed I would look to trade up.

Rabb is going really high.
I'd spend a lotto pick in Dedric Lawson right now.
With the right development, improving his range and all that, he is going to be reaaally good.
Tailor made for the new combo forward position.

I want to see him more but on paper he's got more similarities than differences with Ingram. Not as much long range shooting or explosiveness, but better strength looks like. Equally young as well.

Nice article on Poeltl and his improvements. I could see a Poeltl/Valentine draft or something like that.

Lawson is a freaking stud, he killed OleMiss frontline and is starting to hit the 3, he does it all, tremendous activity, and is a real shotblocker with that monstruos length of his.
big big time sleeper, he turned 18 in October.

Starting to feel a little better about this draft. My first glimpses of Skal, Murray and Brown over the last 1-2 years had me anticipating them but I haven't been too big on what they've done so far, they all seem like their games lack depth in different areas.

But some other guys filling in.

Poeltl has completely dominated this Duke game. Not really long but he defends the rim really well. Doesn't let guys beat him for position, is physical without fouling and he's improved dramatically on the defensive glass. Has 14 boards against a long Duke squad. Still pretty young at 20 years old too. He's the only true center worth picking in the top 10 IMO, though I will admit I haven't seen Diallo play.

Ingram has been up and down but the talent is pretty undeniable.

What's the outlook on Poeltl? I haven't seen him much, honestly. Is he an Asik type or is he less inept offensively?

I've good things going back to last year's draft. Hopefully Dallas (or Boston..) can slide into the 8-11 spot and we can take a close look at him.

All aboard the Ingram train though. I don't know about next KD yet, but he's a scorer and we need one of those badly, particularly at the 3.

Much better hands and finisher than Asik. Has nice touch scoring on the move inside. An Asik that can score inside is probably a decent comp.

I'd been thinking Len as a good comp but watching him again yesterday he doesn't quite have Len's length, at least to my eye.

So disappointed in Skal. Expected way more than this. He's just too soft for a 7ft center. IMO, it's Simmons / Ingram or trade the pick hopefully.
Handsome.

Brown and Dunn can't shoot. Skal can't rebound. At this point if Boston has 3-6 I think Poeltl would be my choice. I could easily see Valentine being a better pro than some of your top picks, so I wouldn't mind trading down for another draft pick if Poeltl is not available.
