The nimbleness of Poeltl while being 7 feet and actually having some muscle is incredible. He will be a great defender in the NBA, now that he's showing improvement on the offense I really, really like him. Potential top 3 pick, haven't seen Bender though.

If Simmons and Beasley were in the same class, who do you think would be ranked higher? If I remember correctly, Beasley had a better jump shot coming out of KState, but he wasn't as polished of a facilitator.

This is crazy talk. I really think some people are downgrading Simmons just in case we don't get the top pick so they already have it on record they weren't high on him and won't be crushed at the thought of not getting him. People are hyping up Ingram to take the sting away from potentially missing out on Simmons. Ingram has played better and maybe is playing himself into a top 5 pick but he's not better than Simmons. Simmons does many exceptional things. He passes exceptionally well. He drives almost exceptionally well. He rebounds exceptionally well. Ingram doesn't do anything exceptional. People knock Simmons shooting but that's the only thing he doesn't do exceptional and considering he looks like his best position will be PF in the NBA shooting isn't a must although he will need to improve there to be a franchise player. Ingram doesn't do anything exceptional at this time.

Even without using hindsight, the consensus would still be Simmons. At the end of the day, high IQ and facilitation will always push a prospect to the forefront. Because players with those two qualities tend to raise the level of play of their teammates. Not only are those strengths of Simmons, but they're outright weaknesses of Beasley's. So it becomes an easy decision.

This is pretty much what it feels like lol. This board is weird as **** when it comes to other team's prospects, so It seems like they are just getting a head start ...just in case they need to put down Simmons later. Kinda like Wiggins. I remember some not liking him but not to the level it is at now. The funny part is that if Noel and Embiid were on other teams..i can imagine it would be different (suddenly Noel's offense would matter and Embiid totally would never play again)..hell you already saw that some w/ MCW. Lot of dudes who were defending his honor something fierce suddenly began to trash him. We are some homer ass homers lol (myself included for sure)

as for Simmons, yeah his lack of a jumper scares me some but it's not a big deal atm. He's big, fast, and athletic and most importantly can dribble some...that alone will allow him to prosper for a bit. Our previous can't shoot allstars didn't have his tools. MCW was probably the closest to have most of those tools (Iggy and Thad had loose or in the latter's case just bad handle, Turner wasn't super athletic) but he also was much older. I too want a guy who can get 30 from the perimeter..that would open up a lot. I like the idea of what Ingram can be....but if we get number one..you take Simmons and go from there. He also fills the need of a creator and a guy who can get to the rack off the bounce. We need shooters...but we need a **** of stuff.

We gotta ice the Ingram love for the time being. He's not demonstrating enough excellence yet. He's not deserving of a top pick right now.

Ingram in my opiniom is a more complete player and more NBA ready than Simmons, but this two players will have a great future, in my opinion if he draft Simmons to play as PF we would have to trade someone and for this reasons i think we should draft Ingram and maintain the players that we already haveon ours squad.

I know opinions are subjective, but there's just no justification for or logic behind adopting this one. Nothing could be further from the truth than the two things you just said.

I think Kris Dunn is going to be really good in the NBA.

The Ingram moves are way more diffilcult and he plays for a great coach and plays with great teammates not one team player like Simmons.

we are 1-26.

no one on this roster should dictate who we take. If Simmons can only play the 4...then you trade the rest of the refuse to get players that fit around him.

The only time fit should matter are 1. If the two players are close or on the same level (Wiggins and Parker for example during their draft). 2. Your team is already good.

The latter is the more important one. We are the worst team of all time right now. We don't have the luxary of passing on guys.

and again...while the potential of Ingram's shooting would be nice (he isn't exactly Durant level right now btw), Simmons also adds the needed creation the team ALSO lacks. We need a guy who can create off the dribble for himself and others....oh gee, isn't that Simmons.

Which scenario would you guys prefer.

Getting the 1st pick but the Lakers keeping their pick this year and receiving a 6-9th pick next year(they won't be better than that) or landing the 2nd pick and getting the Lakers pick at 4 or 5?

Easily getting the first pick and not getting the Lakers pick. This isn't a good draft so I'm completely fine with not getting the Lakers pick just as long as they don't get Simmons or get good free agents. We need Simmons. He's the guy we need. Who cares about getting Ingram or Dunn if we can get Simmons.

Simmons or Bust...HOWEVA we are so talent deprived 2 and 4(or 5) looks mighty tasty. Ingram or (some unknown champion) really has to close the gap for it be a tough decision. I don't think Ingram has quite done that and the rest of the current top 10 really aren't close.

I don't think the league allows us to have Simmons tho...soooo

Definitely getting the first pick this year. I would go even further though. I would rather get the first pick this year and never get the lakers pick than have 2 and 4 this year, and I LOVE Ingram too.

I think that Simmons is the type of player that teams tank for. His floor is still an all-star, and his ceiling is the HOF.

Putting him with Embiid is just obscene, and we would have enough talented players and picks to shape the roster around those guys.
