You can't generalize the usage of Hassan in the 4th quarter. Tonight he had a matchup that favored him staying in here because Plumlee would've most likely feasted on our small ball lineup but couldn't really punish us keeping Whiteside in the paint. Us shooting the ball so well also really opened things up for Hassan and the way they were throwing everything at Wade driving, the space was just there.
As for the officials, I thought the little black guy was the worst. He seems relatively new, but the 2nd technical on Goran was ridiculous and a sign of massive insecurity. The guy should not be an NBA official.
Regarding the game, it's good to have bounced back but we've got to tighten up our act defensively.
On this game in particular you're right, but I could name you a couple others where Hassan probably would've destroyed the opposing teams' smaller lineups. At some point, you have to play to your own strengths and stop allowing the opposition to dictate what you do and how you do it. Our small-ball lineups will never be at the level it can be, since our shooting isn't consistent enough nor are we fast enough. Not saying Whiteside's the end all be all to our late game situations, but let's not act like this guy is some immobile stiff. He can run the floor, rebound, and defend the paint, all things that are great to have in late game situations. You have a point on the shooting this game, though. Didn't look at it like that 'til just now.
I like the way our offense is starting to come together, especially when Bosh is aggressive and mixing it up offensively. But once we combine that w/ the defense we played up 'til the Hawks game last week, then we'll take off.
