Yeah..they have a kid in the minors the like that they took in the first round this past year. So he will be seasoned while cueto does what he does.

Just hope shark truly was tipping his pitches last year.

Todd Frazier just got dealt to the White Sox.

Dodgers and Reds both got some decent pieces out of it.

Disregard big contracts, acquire youth.

Nobody has a good read on the Dodgers FO. The rumors just aren't worth the time unless someone is saying a deal is in place but even then we get the Aroldis debacle.

With that said….wonder if it's a play for a bigger deal or if Blue is truly moving in this direction.

I could see it being for a bigger deal. Being as Jose Fernandez is still a Marlin, and there's a few squads scrambling to add that top tier starter, I wouldn't be surprised in the least to see Miami get a massive haul after the Dodgers have been stockpiling.

I'm hoping the Dusty Baker connection helps us get both Brandon Phillips and eventually Aroldis Chapman(assuming he isn't suspended but even if he is, we'd have him for the stretch run and another season).

He's a little old but I like his game and we need a 2B so Rendon can slide back to 3B.

Dude can still produce. Hits for decent average, doesn't strike out a lot, plays good defense.

Even if you gave up one halfway decent prospect for a guy who's owed another $27 million for the next two years, you're getting great value for the guy.

4 teams pay luxury tax, led by the Dodgers paying a record of over $43 million:

We lose out on Heyward. Then we lose out on Phillips.

Such a joke. We're not even top 5 in the NL now.

Gonna be a rough season.

Yanks have shutdown pen now. Rotation is still a huge question mark however. Who's having a worse offseason than the Dodgers?

The Dodgers should have completed the deal for a potential domestic abuser who still might be suspended? :o

Well, here's the thing about this Chapman deal: the Yankees didn't really give anything of promise up to land him. Even if he gets suspended for, say, the first three months of the season, this team still has one of the best 8th-9th inning combos in the league. Once he gets back, it's lights out, no one is hitting this team in the last three innings.

What I truly believe is going to happen, though, is that this frees up Betances (who I really want to keep) to be dealt for some heat in the rotation. Especially because the top tier of prospects remained untouched in this deal.

Right. The Dodgers were going to give up Peraza for him. The Yankees gave up nothing close to Peraza for him.
Why would the Reds sell that low months before the season starts?

The Dodgers are the damned if you do, damned if you don't franchise.
If the Dodgers signed Cueto and Shark…LMFAO theyre trying to buy a championship again.

If the Dodgers reworked a deal for Aroldis…LMFAO at the classless FO and Friedman's propensity to acquire players of questionable character.

Pass on all the drama.
I'd rather folks talk about the lack of moves we've made as if it actually means the Dodgers don't have a good roster.

With Utley coming back I think the Dodgers have a chance to play 163 games next season.

I like the Kazmir deal for Blue.
Not a game changer but a plus for our team.

inb4 failed physical or report of domestic abuse and Kazmir signs with another team.
