Getting the ball in the hands of actual playmakers other than Davante and Dick-Rod has also given me hope going forward. Cobb had a game that made him look like the $11 mil per year WR he is for probably the first time this season. Good signs.
What playmakers besides Cobb?
This win didn't do much to make me think the team has much chance to advance far in the playoffs.
Carr gift wrapped the Packers 14 point in the first half via terrible throws. Other than that, the offense had only 100 yards in the first half.
That 14-15 play 92 yard drive in the second half was both good and bad to see IMO. Good to finally see them convert 3rd downs and bad that it took 14-15 plays to get down the field.
The lack of explosive plays in the passing game is still a constant problem. Yea Jones had that TD catch along the sideline, but it only happened because the Raiders had an obvious blown coverage.
Come the playoffs and having to face an Arizona and/or Carolina, both put up plenty of points via explosive plays and the odds of beating either of them without multiple big plays strike me as slim.
That's why Rodgers was down after the win. He sees that the passing game is still mainly broken and he's smart enough to know that they aren't going far in the playoffs with an offense scuffling as it has for the last 8 games or so.
