Value of Kyrie Irving

As a Hornets fan, if I were really into Kyrie and wanted to make a trade offer for Kyrie that I thought had a chance of being accepted I'd offer Kemba and Batum for Kyrie and Verajao. Given the contract situations of Batum and Verajao, that seems close to fair to me.

But really, I wouldn't make that offer.

Championship teams have vetern role players. I'm a Knick fan and it's amazing to see how much better Afflalo is than JR and Shump.

Good for the knicks. However, having watched the Cavs more closely these last 2 season, Jr and SHump have been Godsent to them. Their skill sets fit perfectly into the team as a whole. I guess you coud say the trade was a win win for all participants

If JR has proven anything over the course of his career it's that you can't trust him and he always comes up small in the big moment. From completly zoning out during the coach's halftime speach to showing up hung over to playoff games when he's was with the Knicks. As a 6th man/heat check guy I guess he's ok.

Am sorry what exactly has Afflalo proven over his whole career??What has he achieved in his career that makes him better then Jr?? At least like you said Jr has actually won 6th man of the Year. What individual achievement has Afflalo won??

Shumpert's can consistently release the ball from the same point which is why his jumper is so inconsistent. He's a great defensive player but that jump shot makes him a limited player.

Good thing the main reason he is on the Cavs is for his DEFENSE. Cavs dont need his scoring per se. They need him to hit his 3 ball at a respectable rate which he more than does. Not sure what the problem is

They are fine band-aid type pieces, but if I was the Cavs GM and could add 1 piece I want a true 3 and D wing that can play the 2 and 3. Exactly what Shane Battier was for Lebron in Miami.

So question is who is the this so called true 3 and D wing that is AVAILABLE for the cavs to get without giving up assets and an UPGRADE on SHump and Jr??? Sounds to me you just parroting a bunch of talking points with no real solutions

If I were trading Kyrie as a Cavs fan I would not need a PG back. You can laugh at this if you want, but Delly plays PG perfectly for what this team needs. Best assist/TO ratio in the league, shooting 46% from three this year and a great defender. He is just a "winning" player. In fact I am hoping he starts WITH Kyrie going forward.

I would want someone like Giannis back for Irving. I think he would be a great compliment to the rest of our roster.
