Wolves, Magic, Sixers. Pretty simple really.

Wolves have the best shot at producing 1 or 2 stars, Magic still don't know what they have in AG and Hezonja (though they've been pretty good in limited minutes) + a bunch of talent even if they won't be superstars, and Philly is 1-28 with their best prospect injured, so it all depends where they land next year + Embiid being healthy + probably moving one of Okafor or Noel and then building a team and then we can properly rate them.

Why are the Sixers even on this list?

Yeah, no offense to Sixers fans but I think it would be fair to them to have their team rated when they actually have more pieces next year with Saric + pick + Embiid.

Bucks used to rule these polls over the summer, so people on here are fickle. If Orlando struggles then people will sour on prospects, if Timberwolves don't achieve greatness in a few years people will sour, etc, etc.

All MN has is Towns. Wiggins is just a weird player at this point. IDK if he'll even be a star, but he'll be a solid role player for sure. LaVine will be a solid 6th man, could be a solid starting SG if ever given the chance there. Rubio is so so, he is what he is- not sure he's our future PG. Rest of our roster is garbage and most of them will be 8-9th bench guys. The team with the brighter future is Orlando, don't pick MN please we always disappoint.

Min is in another stratosphere in terms of talent. Only problem is, that the front office is complete **** after Flip passed away. That team needs a modern offense so bad but I think they are stealth tanking. They know Ricky isn't the future PG. You can't have your PG put up 4-5 points and expect to win.

1. Orlando - They are currently much better than many are convinced they are. I think they will make the playoffs this year.
2. Minnesota - They have a really good young core and they will only get better.
3. Philly - Nothing to say about Philly.

We certainly are more competitive than a lot of people have thought, and the Skiles wearing out his welcome thing may or may not come true, so we're holding our breath - but he's been really good so far.

Of course, the Magic haven't been able to develop AG and Hezonja as quickly as other teams develop their young players, but I think next year is when we'll be able to see the real potential the young guys have on the Magic.

I agree with what others have said. Wolves as it stands now. But...

If Philly can land say Simmons and other roster fitting core members with their picks, Embiid comes back, and Saric comes over, maybe they can take the throne from Wolves.

Orlando needs to do a 4qtrs for a dollar trade. Combine some of their assets for a young superstar. For example, Cousins or Liard or ?. If they can do that, they could take the throne.

But if the Wolves stumble into another top 7 pick, do a 4qtrs for a dollar trade of their own (using anyone not named Towns or Wiggins) Wolves could keep the throne for a very long time.

I think you're selling yourself short on Wiggins. At the very least he's going to make a few all-star games.

Nuh uh, my team's worse!

Seriously though I think Min and Orl both have really bright futures, Philidelphia is still a big question mark at this point.

Also these threads always devolve into a shouting match after a huge homer poster writes some incendiary post or another person eggs on some arguments between fanbases. Civil for now though, lol.

After every subpar game by Wiggins, Wolves fans do this. After a great game, they just acknowledge it as being expected. Fickle bunch, he will develop an all around game and bolt to a better franchise.

I hate these threads because I don't think Orlando will have this same roster in a couple years. They are so primed for a trade it hurts. They are further along in the rebuild than Minnesota and Philadelphia yet still very young so it's hard to get a read on them.

Sometimes I wish I was a fan of a team with an obvious star to build around. It's no guarantee (see New Orleans with Anthony Davis at the moment) but it keeps things in focus. The Magic have had to make the best of the drafts and picks they were given.

1 - Min - KAT and Wiggins
2 - Bucks - Giannis and Parker

Philly and Orlando are a toss up because of the health issues of Noel and Embiid. If healthy I'll take them over Orlando. Orlando loaded talent buy no one with yet with superstar potential.

I say Minnesota because they have a future superstar in Karl Anthony Towns. You can't really replace the value that a true superstar player brings to a team. Minnesota also has a few other guys who are intriguing and Rubio is a very nice starting point guard.

It's too hard to rank Philly right now. Embiid is their best chance at a superstar but who knows how his injury issues will affect him, and even then their next 2 best prospects play the same position. And while they do suck hard and will probably have the best odds at the #1 pick, that rarely seems to lead to actually getting that pick.

They could look very good next season with a healthy Embiid, Saric and Simmons (or whoever goes first). Or Embiid could step on a pin and spend the next 3 years in rehab while the team gets the 4th pick which turns out to be another centre. So yeah, I agree with the guys saying it's unfair to put them in this list. They're still building their base while the Magic and Wolves have theirs in place.
