We need the best player, people thought Kaminsky was going to play PF and solve our line up.

You sound like a few Rocket fans before McHale got fired. Coaches get fired mid season all the time, particularly when they perform below expectations. As a young team, we haven't improved. Our individual skill level is better than last year, and we've won fewer games, with no improvement on team defense or end of game situations. What is it that Hornacek has actually done well this year?

You have no idea what you are talking about.

Lol. And you do? It's widely known Hornacek is on the hot seat. It's also quite frequent that coaches in the NBA get fired during the season. Ignorance is bliss I suppose.

Suns are 1 game out of the 8th seed for the playoffs. Why would you fire a coach in that situation? Doesn't make sense, and is pure silliness to to think Horny gets fired at this juncture. All coaches get fired at some point, but when a coach like Horny is 1 game out of the playoff seeding I don't think he is in the hot seat. Almost all coaches do get fired at some point, so if we wait long enough Hornacek will get canned.

No. We came out flatter than any team in the history of basketball. 25-9 or something.

Book has looked lost but TJ's looked (relatively) OK.

Well they started with a 14-2 lead (Utah), so yes, it made a difference.

A year from now we'll be thanking Jeff for gifting us Ben Simmons.

Well we are actually 2.5 back of Utah, and if we lose, 3.5. I think Hornacek has kind of gotten a raw deal with an ever changing roster, disgruntled players and low iq players, but at this point I really don't care if he stays or goes. I would probably rather see how he do after we make any moves, but no matter what, I don't think he's gets another contract after this season unless we somehow go on a huge streak and get up to like the 5 seed and knock off the Clips. I don't think we'd have a prayer against any of the top 3 seeds, and probably not against the Clips.

That said, this draft is PF heavy, and so I am not sure there is much of a difference for us as far as a top pick goes. There may be an opportunity to trade down given the PF depth. I don't want Skal though until he shows a hell of a lot more. College seems way too fast for him, and he has struggled mightily at Kentucky.

Yeah, Skal sucks so far, so I don't want him either...I kind of threw him in there because scouts are still high on him. Someone else mentioned the draft was PF heavy, but I thought the opposite based on what I have looked at quite a bit. Maybe heavy at the VERY top, and then you have a couple others currently projected in the late lottery who can't shoot.

I think it's heavy relative to the rest of this particular draft, but not in terms of overall quality. I personally am not a fan of this draft class. I think there's a lot of mediocrity across the board. I just think there are more mediocre PF prospects in the top 30 than other positions.

is Kieff the best passer on this team? I think he might be. Seriously.

That's not good.

We're 5-12 in our last 17 games. 5-13 if we lose this game and that looks very likely atm.

I don't think that will continue if we do decide to keep this lineup. A lot of it is likely the starting lineup never having played together before. But yes, Knight is a better scorer than Booker. Bledsoe is clearly off today. Factor in his usual 22 and it would even out.

How are we 3.5 games behind Utah? NBA.com shows 1 game back.
