Oh, to further answer if that starting lineup worked better....check out +/- for starters and bench. http://espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=400828304

Lol. And you do? It's widely known Hornacek is on the hot seat. It's also quite frequent that coaches in the NBA get fired during the season. Ignorance is bliss I suppose.

Suns are 1 game out of the 8th seed for the playoffs. Why would you fire a coach in that situation? Doesn't make sense, and is pure silliness to to think Horny gets fired at this juncture. All coaches get fired at some point, but when a coach like Horny is 1 game out of the playoff seeding I don't think he is in the hot seat. Almost all coaches do get fired at some point, so if we wait long enough Hornacek will get canned.

We're 5-12 in our last 17 games. 5-13 if we lose this game and that looks very likely atm.

And you look at the SOS in those games and what we have coming up, and we're going to be tanking whether we want to or not. I just don't think this team has performed well enough given its talent level. It's how we're losing games. I don't understand how 3 years in we can't execute out of timeouts or at the end of games, and we have fairly the same issues despite overhauling the roster almost entirely in that time. We get new guards, same issues. We lose 1 stretch 4, replace him with 2, trade a Morri and bench the other, and same issues. Sign one of the best defensive anchors in the NBA, and we still can't defend. I think the issues go beyond the roster makeup, even though it admittedly isn't ideal, but that's what happens when you are in the talent accumulation phase of a rebuild.

Sarver should sell this team. We suck that badly.

Should just run out Jeff's contract. Trade Price, Tucker, Kieff for picks if we can. Try to bring this ship home as quietly as possible. Get a high draft pick, and restart in the offseason.

I guess you are right. My bad. Amazing we are only one game out of 8 seed coming into tonight. And when I said 3.5 that was AFTER this game if we lose. Not sure what I was thinking.

Well Knight looks like he could be a super-sub at least; problem is Booker isn't ready to start

At this point I'd move on from the playoffs. Likely wasn't going to happen anyways, but this basically seals it because it was probably going to come down to us v. Utah for the 8 seed.

Trade the vets for whatever you can get (PJ for a 2nd, Price too if anybody would give that up for him, but I doubt we'd find any takers). I'd like to add a first for Kieff. If not doable, I'd prefer Jones of the group that's been discussed. Add the 23 year old PF, and play out the year. Get a high pick, re-sign Leuer, and move on from there. See if we can replace Price with a guy like McConnell for the Cavs pick.

I highly doubt Knight is playing well because he came off the bench. Dude is just super streaky. No reason to proclaim hes better in a bench role with a one game sample size.

Haralabos Voulgaris ‏@haralabob 1m1 minute ago
Morris and Chandler absolutely crush anything positive PHX tries to do on offense.

This current Suns team is not a good team. We are watching another poor performance tonight against the Jazz, after imploding against the Bucks in the 4th quarter Sunday night. McD might make a trade or Kieff might turn the corner to get us moving in the right direction. Or, Hornacek might get fired tomorrow and we go into rebuild mode. Who knows at this point.

Hi, are we winning? I mean we should we blowing the Jazz out with PJ and Knight finally sitting like 95% of the fans wanted. This is going to be a great season. Maybe sit out Chandler too since he can't score and insert Jefferson for him to go small ball and get back to SSOL. God, I love this unexpected lineup changing, Horny is just full of surprises.

You must not be watching the game. Jeff is still playing Tucker more minutes than Warren and Booker. I guess young players can't make mistakes in Jeff's system.

Horny needs to go. I like the guy and I think he can get a bad rap sometimes on this board but damn, we are terrible. He has lost this team.

Definitely, because Green's iq is so much higher then Tuckers. I love seeing him bomb away three's like hes Kobe Bryant.

Gerald Green is a million times better than PJ Sucker.

I agree. A fairly high pick at this point it more important than going for the 8th seed, which is highly improbable anyway, and it would likely be a sweep or close to it anyway...not only are the Jazz there, but many of the teams right around our record have a shot too.

Play the young guys and build more for the future. I just hope Sarver has this mentality.

I would honestly keep Mirza over Leuer if we had to choose a backup pf for the offseason. Dude is a gorgeous Don Quixote-Gerald Green hybrid.
