Lakers do have the Billion dollar local tv contract. They will have money for years win, lose or draw.

Lakers are going to have mad money. Kobe & Hibbert alone will clear some $40 mil off their cap and they only have 6 players and $23 mil committed to 2017. But I definitely fall on the side of them not being a huge draw anymore. I actually think NY is more appealing to a guy like Jennings, although I'm not sure he's the sort of PG that Phil covets and they have a far more restrictive payroll. I wouldn't be shocked to see LAL throw money at Jennings just because they don't seem to have any sort of actual plan, but I'd think they'd be better off not putting somebody in Randalls way.

I think NYC is over LA - but it's a personal preference thing. I don't think the Lakers have any need for Jennings though - so it's moot.

While I'm sure he can play there for stretches, I'm not sure I'd muck with him still trying to master PG first.
