Andrew Jones was my hope this year but he committed to Texas.

If JJ drag this thing until the NHS (when he'll play with his friends who committed to MSU)... it's done.
We need to make an awesome recruiting pitch saturday.

Who is JJ? And really rather have him than Ben Simmons?

Oh, sorry... I was talking about this year AZ recruiting class... JJ is Josh Jackson
I think this year we need to take a serious look at Henry Ellenson or Ivan Rabb.

I want us to draft a long defensive specialist. About 6'7 to 6'9, long wingspan, can play both forward positions... Any suggestions?

Nice win by AZ tonight. Would have been nice to see UCLA beat NC, so AZ's wins against them later will look more impressive.

Wildcats can actually move up in the AP 25 since 4 teams ahead of them all lost.

Looks like with a little more work we can move up to #5 or maybe #4 which would give us a 38% chance at top 3 and 12% at Simmons. Of course we suck again in a bad draft year though.

I predict we have the 5th worst record in the league on January 1st. Right now we are only 1 game ahead of the 13th seed in both conferences and close out the year with Cleveland, San Antonio and OKC, at least the last two on the road.

I think this guy could end up being our pick. # 8 on the big DX big board # 6 on Ford's

Did matchup vs Ben Simmons in Marquette/LSU game where Marquette won by 1, but Simmons outplayed him. Though Ellenson did get 16/11 and hit a 3. Pretty good at the beginning of a college career.

When watching those Draftexpress videos I always think "I want this guy". But then there is another video for the Weaknesses ;)

I wonder why every stretch 4 must suck at defence. Green and Ibaka are exceptions.

I knew some wouldn't like that but there are no black ones that can shoot, with range at all, and we already have our guy manning the middle. But as it's been analyzed and written about to death, teams with two traditional interior bigs can't really compete well or keep up offensively any more..

about the only two left are the Bulls and Grizz, but they have been sinking fast and both in 6th place and both are starting to somewhat try to get away from that with Mirotic starting thee season and now getting minutes off the bench and in the future, Portis, and then in Memphis they now start Jeff Green and am trying to stretch the floor more with him. I guess maybe the Lakers have two traditional interior bigs. They're not doing so well though.

I know. Maybe if we get higher pick we can get Dragan Bender (of course he's white too for people opposed to that). He seems pretty athletic from the video I posted before but I'm not sure about his defense as his breakdown by Ford says..

Projection Top 5 Pick
Positives
Versatile big man can play the 3, 4 & 5
High basketball IQ
Excellent ballhandler
Good rebounder
Good athlete for a seven footer
Negatives
Needs to add strength
Needs a more consistent jump shot

Edit: No, on Dragan's weakness video it two of his weaknesses are interior defense and rebounding, but I guess if you are a 4, these days perimeter defense and quickness is more important, and Len is a good interior defender.

So you are saying we can have a new Dragon? And he is good? It's time for the tank commander Hornacek to do his job!

Hey look, another high pick in a weak draft.
Ben Simmons or Dragan Bender are the top choices for me right now.

Check out his highlight video on the first page of this thread. Looks pretty good to me.

Watch us get the number 1 pick in the lottery. Then watch us trade it to the Knicks for Carmelo Anthony because Sarver wants to "win now".

I think we have a great shot at Skal right now
Calipari is playing him in the wrong way (trying to make him a inside force... he's a pick'n'pop big)

So is Terrence Jones, but many here don't want him.

If Bender can run well at the combine, I'm starting to think he's the guy we'd want if he falls to us.
