Watched the entire war room reaction and had it timed exactly the same as the tv broadcast (based on the tv they had in the warroom) and the reaction was complete dejection and dissapointment as soon as Zinger was taken. Then almost a forced reaction by henny afterwards where he walked a lap of the room and high fived everyone.

They definately were crushed they didnt get their man.

I don't recall if I knew this or not. Well, good to know they were on top of things and just had bad luck.

I'm happy with Mario :)
The future is bright 8-) Payton said. ``I just want to keep getting better and maybe one day I can be the all-time all assists leader for the Magic.’’

Yeah, I remember them all smiles when Knicks pick was announced.

But I was wrong about Kristaps.

That is not at all how it went down. They were ecstatic as soon as WOJ reported the NYK were drafting Zinger.

It was clear MH23 was their guy at 5. I'm still confident we got the best shooter in the draft who will be more than capable of becoming a solid two way player.

KP would have been nice just like KAT and Lebron and KD etc...Hezonja is the player on the Magic - totally happy with the pick

Either way, I think its too soon to conclude Zinger is the better player here. He will be really good, but I have also seen some serious potential in Mario this last week or so which has me just as excited.

I had 3 issues with KP. Could he play in the NBA do to how physical it is? Check... Thought it would be 2 to 4 seasons before he could really play any kind of minutes and impact the game. Big check as he is already. I'm very surprised. Last and still an open question mark, can his body hold up? Would even an elbow injury impact his shot for the rest of his career.

Seeing his impact today, I would have offered our pick at 5 and another 1st rounder. I have been very pleased with what he has shown thus far. I wish him a long and healthy career, he is a great asset to the game.

I'm loving what I see from Mario in spurts. I'm happy he came back strong after being benched for a few games. The biggest hole this team has is shooting in a wing position and a legit go to guy when you need a bucket. Mario can certainly be both and play above average defense. I'm very happy with our pick and would love to see the starting lineup in 2 years with Payton, Mario, AG, ...., Vuc. I don't think we have that final forward yet but hopefully in the next two years we find him.

Towns has been my favorite player from the past 3 drafts. I feel like he is a franchise player. I don't think we had any shot at a trade to get him though. I don't think him and Vuc would have paired great, so likely Vuc would have been traded at some point.

I want 2 things from this team. Improved shooting from all our young guys and to be able to finish at the rim strong.

Well yeah, that's the trick. No one expected this, even god-Hinkie (with a better fit than Okafor too!) so I try not to worry about it.

I just need Hezonja to go crazy in the next couple months here, like 5-5 3PT in a quarter or something.

Its coming man. Hes been getting way more confident and more aggressive the last few games, same with AG. They are both not hesitating to let it fly which is a good sign that A) they are both earning trust and B) they are feeling more comfortable in the offence. Confidence was never an issue with either guy.

One annoying trait i hope Mario does grow out of though is his bad body language to calls from the refs. I know they are bad for rookies, but still its not a good look. If hes that frustrated that he shows it physically, then its affecting him mentally and thats not good for his game.

I think that's Devin Booker. But Hezonja should most likely end up as the better/more complete offensive player
