About damn time they decided to move/shop Tucker.
We have a lot of problems, and Tucker's offense is a part of them. He's just not young enough to be part of the solution.
We need our guards to defend better, we need more balanced rotations, and we need to buy into team defense.

Best article I have read in a long time.
Great article actually. Highly recommend everyone reading it, worth the time.

Talking about how this is the same team that was 7-5 at one point in the season and that as bad as the Suns have been, they are only 2 games out of the 8th seed. Yeah, the Suns are also only 2.5 games out of the 15th seed. THE 15TH SEED! They actually are closer to the 15th seed when you look at the loss column. And seriously, is making the playoffs and losing by 40 points to the Warriors the goal?
Screw this man. I cannot listen to this anymore. If Sarver does not wake up and change everything asap the team is going to miss the playoffs for another five years.
I am out for a while.
I like the Suns. I have been a fan since 1976. Certainly some things have to happen, but changing everything is not it. I really cannot stand reading this stuff anymore. Certainly you have every right to feel the way you do and to post it. I just need to step back until sanity returns to this board--for my own sanity.
Tough to see you go, but I certainly understand. I've tried to enforce some of the rules about not beating the negative drum saying the same thing for months but I fèEl like Hornacek must feel. Tough to get through to people who don't listen.

I agree. Great article. Much of what I've been saying recently. With Knight I can understand, as he is new to the team, younger, and may just simply need a little more time. But no excuses for Bledsoe taking nights off, being abused often when teams know he will over gamble on defense. I wish Marcus Smart could shoot because he never takes nights or even plays off and his age fits our future core more. I'd consider a swap if he could shoot.

Great article. I have thought for most of the season that Knight is super soft on defense, goes under screens almost all of the time, and at times seems to freeze when on man defense and let his man blow by him for an easy basket. Yes, he is good on offense but also super inconsistent. I personally do not Ike him as our SG and hope we either let Booker develop or trade Knight for someone better.
Bledsoe is harder to nail down, and this article did a great job of summarizing his weaknesses. I made a post a week or two ago where I said Bledsoe is an awesome individual player, but is not good enough at PG to take us deep into the playoffs.
Both players are young (although at 26 Bledsoe is approaching "middle age") and if McD and Hornacek feel they can both improve than I will go along for the ride.

I with Eric Bledsoe had Russell Westbrooks motor and tenacity.

Re: Potential Trade Thread
The good news is that the Suns coaches see our backcourt flaws even more deeply than that article. They aren't going to discuss them or point them out in public, but work in every practice to correct these flaws either through play design or practice and repetition. When it comes to winning games I think coaches contribute 10% and talents contributes 90%. I think at the end of the day Bledsoe doesn't have the mental processing speed to make the split second decisions needed in a fast paced offense. He is NOT stupid or have low BBIQ, I'm just saying he needs a little process time before making decisions and this fast flowing game doesn't allow for that.

Re: Potential Trade Thread
Tucker and Morris on the block isnt new...
They arent McD guys to begin with.... I'm sure on McD's big board, these guys are on the "Might trade" column since he became GM. The tantrums and attitude issues have pushed both to the "Must trade".... Warren playing well helped that decision too,

That's not fair to say, nobody in the league has Westbrook's motor. Not even LeBron, Curry or Durant.
Westbrook goes 120% every second he's on the court.
I would say I wish Bledsoe had even three fourths of Westbrook's motor and even half of Westbrook's vision.

Re: Potential Trade Thread
Tucker should have been traded when he had trade value. Same as Gerald Green.
This would have happened if the goal was to rebuild. But the goal has never been clear since the first McD/Hornacek season.

The goal has been clear since the surprise season: make the playoffs. That's exactly why they didn't trade PJ or Green. They had value because they were useful to what we were trying to do.

Man it would have been nice if the Suns could have been the team to trade for Dudley in the summer

Dudley is a perfect example of normal human athleticism, good fundamentals and high IQ player... will make a living as an X and O guy for many many coaches.

Yeah, you say that now that he's shooting lights out from 3. You weren't saying go get Dudley and let him play PF this summer that I remember.

Nothing worse than a Monday Morning Quarterback for a GM.

Wasn't he a free agent and didn't he say he wanted to come back to Phx, and he enjoyed playing with Knight but Phx wasn't interested? I'm pretty positive I read that somewhere.
Also, try to stop evading the language filter since it's against the rules. It's twice in two days. It's fine to type out the word and let the censor do it and people will know what you're saying. Burning Heart was very good at not evading. I think he REALLY needed to actually type out the words to get his feelings out, but that's what people should do if they feel like using those words in a public forum. I feel like typing them sometimes too.

It would have been funny if you were right.
I actually did say that the Suns should trade for Dudley in the summer and then few people here said we should leave the former players alone and not bring back any of them or something to that effect. I probably didn't specify playing him at PF but looking at it now, had we brought him in to play SF like I wanted, we could have moved him to PF had we wanted to over guys like Leuer.
I'm not a Monday morning QB. I don't rely on hindsight. I actually said the Suns should fire Hornacek before any of you. Bwgood knows this well. Only Puff and In Len We Trust were there to support it back then. And now all of you finally realized it too except just months or years later. Same with many other moves such as trading Plumlee, trading Tucker (only Sundeuce said it before me), IT being a bad fit etc.
Not trying to brag, only saying it now because you accused me of speaking after the fact which I'm not.

I know it's against the rules on the GB but most of the team forums here don't really care about evading the language filter. And I know plenty of people including myself used to do it back when Kerrsed, TASTIC and Milko were in charge as well and they never cared then. But ok, I'll stop, no worries.
And yes Dudley did say he wanted to come back. Coro actually tweeted about that as well. Suns just had no interest.

I don't think it's a big deal, but I'll send you a PM about why I mention it. And they do have a filter for a reason, so when people try to go around what the administrators are trying to set up, that's not a good thing.
