Re: Jarrell Eddie
Technically not a 10-day -- those don't start until later in the year. He's on a non-guaranteed minimum salary deal.
Eddie's PPA (average = 100, higher is better) in the first game of his career: 430.

It would be great if this guy was the next Roger Mason JR or Cartier Martin for this team. You can never have enough shooters when you have a playmaker like Wall.

I hope he's way better than those guys.

Re: Jarrell Eddie
Jarrell Eddie shot really well in Summer League and the D-League with the Spurs (the last two years). The question is, can he contribute anywhere else. Playing with a guy like John Wall though, could make him a viable NBA player. I hope it happens for the guy, he's been working hard.

Can he do anything else besides hit the open look shot?

He's kind of a Steve Novak type. So when NBA teams finally have him scouted, it's going to be hard for him I think. However, he is a work in progress defensively, but who's to say that he can't defend backup 3's. I mean, this is his first real chance in the NBA that wasn't training camp or a summer league tryout. But he can shoot the hell out of the ball and just his presence alone on the floor will open up the court.
It's primarily what allowed Jonathan Simmons and Kyle Anderson to dominate Summer League.

Dear Wizards fans:
I really like the enthusiasm. You're obviously a group that leads with their hearts.
Would be nice if you'd spell my name correctly. One "r".
Sincerely yours,
Jarell Eddie

Eh, play more than one good game. Then we'll see about fixing typos.
Always remember, my friend: the world will change again. And you may have to come back through everywhere you've been.

Whoops, can a mod fix this?
GSW is a team comprised mostly of players EG passed-on in the draft.

Eddie has a quick release and great elevation on his shot. He reminds me a lot of a healthy Martell Webster. I really think this guy could be a keeper.

Took years to get Groinfeldt's name right.
One good game ought to be enough for three or four millie posts.

That would be so nice to have a young and healthy Martell. This kid can shoot! I hope we keep him. because if he works out we can resign this kid on a cheapish deal and that solves our back up SG spot next year with Sato coming in to play PG.

He looks a little heavy-footed. I don't think he can stay in front of NBA SG's. He looks more like a SF to me. It could work out if he is playing alongside Temple, Beal or Oubre at SG, but I don't really want to see Eddie alongside Porter or Dudley (unless they're playing PF).

Defensively, he had moments where he defined the word "sieve" - see his inability to stay within 5 ft of Wayne Ellington's cross-overs. If he can avoid being a liability on that side of the floor, that quick release on the 3 is a beauty! Also had a couple heads-up passes yesterday that kept the offense flowing.
