Tells us that maybe the issue was Hornacek all along.

No "maybe" about it.

Chandler to the Celtics for Lee's expiring and a pick? Hopefully a 1st, but I have a feeling Ainge wouldn't do it...so maybe two 2nd rounders instead.

Chandler would make a lot of sense in the C's.
They have a lot of cap space... It's kinda insane their 3 top players (Isaiah, Crowder and Bradley) are locked in less than 8M per year.

I'd do it for Chandler... apparently he has no business with this team anymore.

I'd do it. Would rather give Leuer more minutes and add the additional cap space.

Tyson Chandler is worth far more than David Lee's expiring contract. He still has a lot of value to any team that wants to contend. It is not his fault that the Suns point guards are horrible passers and have no idea how to play with him.

I'm not arguing his worth as a player; I just don't think you're going to be able to get much other than cap relief for a guy who is declining on an expensive deal that's gonna look really bad in 2 years

I do not think his contract is bad though. Robin Lopez is getting paid more than him. Tristan Thompson got a near max contract as a bench player. Contracts are insane now. And honestly I think he is the perfect guy for the Cavaliers. That team has their entire core locked up for a while except Mozgov who will be a free agent and I think Chandler fits them better than Mozgov. Chandler is the perfect center to play alongside Love.

Cleveland needs a boost and Chandler could be the missing piece to play with Lebron the next few years as they try to win a title. If the Suns could somehow do a three way trade where they trade Chandler to the Cavaliers and Mozgov and Shumpert go to a third team, maybe the Suns can get young unproven players and/or picks. It could be an option.

Posted in the wrong thread.

The end is near for Hornacek.

Per RealGM Wiretap:
The head coaching job of Jeff Hornacek with the Phoenix Suns is in jeopardy as they now have a 5-15 record over their past 20 games.

Phoenix began the season with playoff aspirations after posting records of 48-34 and 39-43 in Hornacek's first two seasons.

The Suns are currently 12-20 and 11th in the Western Conference.

There are fears within the organization the players are no longer responding to Hornacek.

It's too bad Bledsoe got hurt, here's a trade with him though...

Suns get-
Jabari Parker
OJ Mayo
Greivis Vasquez

Bucks get-
Eric Bledsoe
Markieff Morris

Suns get two expiring contracts and Jabari Parker. Bucks are obviously trying to make a playoff push and they look pretty good on paper. I honestly don't see much in Jabari Parker, he looks like another tweener high draft pick bust ala Derrick Williams. Maybe someone can help me out and show me what he does that's impressive because right now, I don't see anything. Why do I want him? Because it's a buy low situation and maybe just maybe he lives up to his high expectations of being the No 2 draft pick.

If we could somehow land Jabari Parker in a trade I would be ecstatic. Sometime you can get a very young prospect from a team that is in win-now mode. I think the Bucks are in win now mode, but I just can't see them giving up Parker. However, you never know so hopefully McD is hitting the phones gauging interest.

Yeah I doubt they give up Parker this quickly, especially after a major injury, but you never know. Maybe they don't feel like he's gonna live up to lofty expectations and want to sell him before his trade value turns to zero (like D-Will). Bucks record indicates they might be better off just tanking this season too, but they did just sign Greg Monroe, signed John Henson & Kris Middleton to a 10-figure salary.

I might be losing my mind but at this point anything is worth a shot. Even Lawson. Just make sure Tucker is off this team before Lawson gets here otherwise they will become drinking buddies and worse than the Morris Twins

I would make a little trade to have Snell here. He is not playing well enough in Chicago but the potential like a two way player is there...he can play SG/SF if we trade Tucker.

Other 2 good options are the rookies Anderson from Dallas and Payne from Oklahoma...those teams are looking for help to contend NOW and these rookies can be really good here. They would play a ton of minutes.

Honestly, wouldn't mind Lawson right now. Last year he averaged 15 and 10. He's the exact type of player we need. Can help everyone grow. I just think he was put into the wrong situation. If he was given his starting star role back and was the floor general of our team I'm sure he would be very happy and excited. Also, if it doesn't work out he will be a free agent this offseason and we can just say bye bye. Houston will do anything for him to leave now. We could potentially get even more back from them. Maybe Lawson and D-Mo for Keef and Tucker. Then try to offload bled and Knight for expirings, picks and young talent. I think it's pretty far fetched and would only be a smart idea of we wanted to trade away knight and bled but if we are looking into that I really like the idea of Lawson.

I don't think the bucks do that if we took every bad contact they have.

Parker still has mega upside.
Of course with Bledsoe injury there's no chance.
That said I'd give them anyone but booker for him

How about sending Knight to New orleans for Gordon and unprotected 2016 pick

With Bledsoe out, you'd be crazy to not hang onto Knight until he comes back. His usage is going to go through the roof, and while his percentages aren't going to be great, he's going to nail a month or two of 20+/5/4. So by the time Bled is back circa March, Knight will have a ton of trade value.

Still think we should purge ourselves of Tucker/ Morris/ Chandler for Joe Johnson's expiring too. He may not be the player he was, but he knows how to move the ball and make the smart pass. Won't demand big minutes and will facilitate touches for our young guys rather take them away. Good vet playmaker, too. BKN could get a decent return for Chandler too if they flip him (HOU, BOS, CHI, MEM etc).

Knight, Price
Booker, Goodwin
Warren, Johnson
Leuer, Teletovic
Len, Jefferson

WHen Bledsoe returns, or before the deadline (whichever is first):

Bledsoe, Price
Booker, Goodwin
Warren, Johnson
Leuer, Teletovic
Len, Jefferson

+ pieces and picks from Knight (Hinrich expiring, Noah expiring and SAC pick?)
+ our own pick

Absolutely. Why not just go for our once deemed cornerstone player?
