No way should Longabardi be elevated to HC. He is supposed to be the defensive assistant, and if anything has regressed this year it is the Suns defense. We aren't playing any defense at all anymore.

Longbardi is the worst "defensive co-ordinator" Ive ever seen.

Our defence has regressed over the past 3 years. We have no scheme at all. We need to be not allowing middle penetration at all, an ICE-ing the pick and roll

As bad as Hornacek has been with this group, Im not surprised to see him fired. Its easy to be a coach when things are going great, i.e 2013-2014 fairytale run, but when tings go south like this season, thats when you differentiate a good coach from a bad coach.

This is one of Hornacek's first experiences to face this kind of adversity, and how he handles it shows an inexperieced, bad head coach.... No continuity, no holding players accountable, and not sticking to a philosophy he believes in. Hes a follower not a leader.

Im sure he will find another job on the NBA as a head coach. But right now, for our team, hes not the right man for the job.

Hornacek will land another coaching gig w/ another team and have success. Also, Thibs isn't going to coach the Suns lol. No chance in hell, would he even attempt to try to come into a situation when the FO itself can't even put a team together.

Well he did learn under Thibs, so I'm not sure what that says about Thibs.

I doubt many coaches would have had an easy time coaching that squad to win 48 wins. That notion is kind of ridiculous. This year has been a cluster **** though so I think very few coaches would have done too well with the team this year. I can't say he's been good this season though and that he shouldn't be fired but he's far from the only problem.

Leaving Hornacek hanging in the wind like this and leaking stories to the media is bush-league. Fire him or commit to him for the rest of the year.

FWIW: A few weeks back, a source w/ties to Suns predicted/speculated that PHX would dump Hornacek and chase Luke Walton next summer.

I would not be surprised to see the Suns go after Luke Walton in the offseason because of the UofA connection. And I honestly do not think it matters who is the coach the rest of this season as long as they go all out to play the young players as much as possible. That is the only thing that matters.

Wait until you hear what the Suns' "solution" is. Just found out about an hour ago...doesn't seem like it has hit the media yet.

You all are going to laugh...
