Vuc has been by far our best player this season and arguably the best center in the Eastern Conference

Lol agreed. He was already really good and he keeps improving. The added ability of driving the ball should allow him to pick up a few foul calls and his passing out of doubles is thing of beauty lately. Vuc is far and away our best player right now.

closing in on 3 APG
No reason why he can't do that his passing has always been very under utilized. tobes and fournier read him extremely well

I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

The thing I like about his passing is that he'll pass it to anybody if they're open. Some guys on our team have bias' and are only completely willing passers to some players. Really messes up the offense at times if you aren't using all 5 players on the court. You become far too easy to guard. But he's got to do a better job of passing when the double comes hard and early.

I've been saying for a couple of years that Vuc is tremendous passer but he didn't get the opportunity to show it as much because: 1) JV's offensive system was awful 2) He didn't have the confidence he does now to demand the ball.

I think its clear to see that there has been a change in demeanor and mindset were he now believes just how good he can be, he is realizing how tremendously skilled he is and how many of his counterparts are clearly not. He doesn't shy away anymore, he plays with more attitude now, he wants the ball now, he demands it. He has also improved passing out of double teams and making plays of the dribble.

This is like saying Dallas should have traded Dirk years ago because he was bad at Defense.
