Re: Nemanja Bjelica
I think Bjelica has lost confidence. Some players have fragile mental states and need to be coached up more then others. Yes, they are not stars but you need solid role players and Bjelly just needs a little confidence back so he can play like he did in the begininng of the season. This is something Smitch needs to step up and help him with through rotations and matchups.

He was Euroleague MVP because Fenerbache fans voted for him online for the award (Euroleague MVP takes the fan vote) with a huge ballot stuffing.
You might not believe it, but you can go to any European basketball forum and ask, and they will confirm it.
Actually, fan voting accounts 25% of total vote, and media impacts the other 75%. I am aware of that. Anyway, he was deserving, his team reached final 4, and he had a PIR of 18.3, highest among all Final 4 players.
PIR should have no bearing on something like an MVP award. It's just the old Larry Bird Celtic's team plus minus ice hockey stat. European basketball using it to judge how good players are and to give awards is archaic at best, and in reality, extremely bush league and amateurish.
The fan vote counts 25% of the vote, but the fan vote counts as 5 votes, while the media vote counts as 1. So far the person winning the fan vote won the award every single year, except when Arroyo won the fan vote. Obviously they could not give the award to Arroyo the year he won it, because he got zero votes from the media. And in several years the league MVP did not win the media vote.
Basically, whomever wins the fan vote is 90% automatically the league MVP winner. I've honestly never considered the Euroleague MVP award to be a legit award. The method used to pick the winner is really amateur.

Re: Nemanja Bjelica
I don't mind if Fenerbaçe fans voted him or not voted him, anyone who watched Euroleague or Eurobasket knows he was the best player in Europe last season and he also could been Eurobasket MVP if Gasol and Bogdanovic hadn't played.
I repeat again, he is a little nervous person and he need a coach who know how treat this kind of players or, other manner, the contrary of Mischell and Garnett.

Has anyone in Minesota think with the same way about Anthony Bennett? That he needed some confidence.
And Bennett was a number one draft pick, way more talented than Bjelica..
Bjelica cannot be a starter in an nba team. He is not athletic enough and strong enough to play power forward in nba.
The situation now is that this team has nothing in pf position. No one of the power forwards of this team deserves to play in nba.
This is my opinion

I don't think Bennet is more talented than Bjelica. Yeah, he was a number one pick, but mostly everyone thought that was a huge reach, and he wasn't exactly number one player in country while in college.
It's only been half a season, most Euros takes time to adapt to NBA game.

Bjelica may never be a starter, but Bennett is on his way out of the league.

As someone else said, Bennett was a reach at #1. And while AB may be more talented than Belly, Belly looks way more poised as a player. He just seems to ooze basketball IQ. I've never gotten that impression from AB.

Time will tell. He certainly looks a bit too small playing against the bigger front courts in the league. Considering his contract and the projected role coming into the season, however, there's no reason to think of him as more than an above average bench player who can have an impact on the floor without having a big statistical impact.

That's true (for now). If Belly doesn't get out of his slump we need to find both a starting and a back up PF. Unless Pek will be 100% healthy and able to play 70+ games per season (highly unlikely) which would allow either one of KAT or Dieng to play significant minutes at the 4.

Bjelica is a really good player, and he's being used wrong and handled wrong by the Wolves. I personally think he is a better player than someone like Mirotic, that gets plenty of playing time with the Bulls.
He was not the best player in Europe though. He was in the argument with guys like Felipe Reyes and Georgios Printezis for being the best PF in Europe, with Andrey Vorontsevich possibly in the discussion also. Although I think he's not quite as good as the other 3.

I don't think there's going to be minutes left for him when Pek eventually gets back.

Re: Nemanja Bjelica
I think that Bjelica needs to get a stretch of games with at least 25 minutes played to see if he can work out, and it has to be as little Lavine sharing the court with him as possible, because every game I see at least 3 or 4 instances where Lavine doesn't see an easy pass to open Bjelica.

Well, to show how dumb I am, I said something similair about Bennett. I would have liked the Wolves to play Bennett last year a lot more but we don't see what players do in practice. Bjelica appears to work hard and is a smart basketball player he just has a fragile ego. He can find a way to contribute, Bennett is too dumb and lazy to do that

I agree. I actually think they're on different tiers as players. Their talent level might be similar, but Bjelica has a much higher IQ and has shown that he can be a very good contributor as a solid role player, just needs more time for adjustment like most euros, since the game is quite different here. Meanwhile, I don't think that Bennett is even going to be a role player in this league.

First sentence is so true. I 100% agree
Second sentence is by its definition very arguable because it's only your opinion an because the fact that they yet play in NBA deserved or not, also what Garnet represents and what he did puts him in hall of fame position and that fact itself justify his present starter role in Wolves team. That is my opinion.

Lebron and Nike should sue the creator and take it down from YT.
