Maeda, apparently, is going to be a Dodger and at good numbers for Blue.

Would still like to see the team use its resources and bring in a top tier Starting Pitcher.

Little late on this but have to say damn the Yanks getting Chapman just makes their bullpen insane.

Maybe they'll consider trading us Miller? ;)

Span is great when healthy. One of if not the best leadoff hitters in baseball, is a lefty, and plays really good defense. But he's had injury issues and is over 30. Giants know what they're doing though, so he'll probably be a beast for them.

Nats traded Drew Storen for Ben Revere. I like this trade a lot. Revere isn't as good as Span but he's younger and at least a better base stealer. He's also cheaper. He'll fulfill the lefty leadoff role quite nicely.

I like Storen. Stand up guy, and he's got as much talent as anybody at closer. The problem is he's extremely mentally weak. Guy always choked in the biggest games late in the season and/or playoffs.

I can't believe a player like Cespedes is getting $25 /yr now. Blows the mind.

Yeah I'm glad we didn't pay Cespedes that kind of money. Good player but not THAT good.

cespedes wouldnt have gotten that annual amount in a longer contract, he pretty much traded off shorter contract for higher annual salary.

I like the Doug Fister signing by the Astros. He'll be a good part of the rotation.

Fister had a bad year last year. Hopefully he's 2014 Fister for you guys. That guy was a stone cold beast.

I'm gonna miss our commentator saying: "Fister? I hardly know her."

Wanted the pick we could have got back for Howie.
Would have wasted it on a Funkhouser type and let it roll over to 2017's more stacked draft.
Would have really set up Kasten's vision of having that pipeline (it's already looking great according to mlb pipeline and baseball prospectus)…..and it's solid because the major league team is really good already.

nonetheless, having Howie back gives the Dodgers one of the best lineups in the NL.

Makes me feel bad for ****. I really like this kid and I think he should be an everyday player. Maybe in LF? But there's going to be tons of competition there.

Dave Stewart and LaRussa acting like they have the 98 Yankees at the major league level.
