I'm a Wiz fan and I don't get it either.

I look at the two rosters and, apart from John Wall, you all seem better and deeper. You are also better coached for the most part, though admittedly the bar is low.

One question. Seems like Vucevic always kills us early, then rarely touches the ball or asserts himself late when he does get it.

Is this a general trend with him and the Magic?

Yeah it does tend to happen from time to time. It's been happening more as of late because Elfrid isn't 100% and our supposed to be backup PG has a calf injury that seems to never heal. Victor seems to have a hard time with entry passes when he's running the offense.

"We have to realize that they've been punking us, really. Until we get tired of them punking us, we're never going to beat them," Oladipo said.
Says it all.

The standings state otherwise, so no they are not.

The standings aren't indicative of the reality of the two teams. The Wizards have been playing without a 20 point scorer and their best interior defender, as well as other important role players. If you did the same, the Magic would struggle too, except the only problem is that the Magic have neither a 20 point scorer nor an interior defender on the roster, so the point is moot.

The Wizards weren't setting the world on fire when Bradley Beal and Nene (this is who I'm assuming you are referring to as best interior defender... :-?) were playing. It isn't a shocker that those two are hurt tbh. John Wall is the heartbeat of that team. When he plays well, normally the Wizards are very tough to beat as was shown tonight.

Funny thing is that you talk like the Magic are trash on the defensive end when it's actually the opposite. It's all good though, can't wait to see Orlando play this team again next Saturday.

wow. Truth.

Too bad the effort was so poor tonight. Hope it's better tomorrow when we play Bryson Tiller's older brother.

I didn't expect to win tonite. Wiz have no respect for us. They know they can beat us anytime. Out there throwing alleys, taking it to the paint with no fear, and showboating. They know our players are soft vs them and no single player in this team plays otherwise. Really pisses me off seeing them celebrate like that on us but they are just a better team. They treat us like a joke and our players better start playing with some nasty vs them. Bunch of looney tunes there tonite.

EP is clearly injured. I love resilience but I think it's time to give him a couple of games off. His long term health is the most important thing here. I know this is hard to do with CJ Wheelchair and the train wreck of Dipo at the PG.

How could anyone have predicted Humphries to catch fire in the 4th to pull out a convincing Magic defeat from what otherwise was a close game?

WIth 11 straight losses, the Jan/ 9 rematch will be an interesting game for Coach Skiles to get the Magic up for.

The effort was disgusting. Every drive to the basket apart from the Tobias ones were destined to fail since the first step. The amount of open shots passed allowing the defense to recompose and clog the lanes was also sad to watch.
And now the Cavs. This isn't going to be a good start for the year.

Holy ****... can we please start going UNDER screens on the John Wall's and Russell Westbrook's of the world?! PG gets hung up on the screen, they just get in the paint and score or find the open man EVERY DAMN TIME. ****!

And EP can't get healthy soon enough. We just aren't the same when he's playing like this. He hasn't been right since he hurt the other ankle.

Elfrid is hurt. Also he has improved tremendously from his rookie year. The 3 point shooter we have passes up more open shots than the pancake syrup gets passed at a Sunday breakfast. It gets me sick watching him pass up shot after shot. Whether it's confidence or Skiles he needs to take the open shot.

That is one person I'd love to have. But so would every other team. :)

I think we've got enough assets to throw at them and they just started to rebuild.
Anyway that being said such trade wont happen I doubt Henny is interested so this will stay in my 2k16 :) where it propably belongs.

For the record, there's no need to mention the standings. They are only 3 games back and might think they are "close."

What really matters is point differential and offensive and defensive efficiency. We are much better in every category. There's a chance the Wizards could get healthy, jell around their new offensive scheme, and be better than us by the end of the year. But statistically it's unlikely.

At least the young guys should get some decent burn when the Cavs are up by 30+ at halftime tonight. Wish we could just fast fwd to Monday nights game.

I don't get this either... You're not going to stay with him going over... You're going to leave Vuc or some other Big on an island every single time. That's on Skiles...
