First game of the year, on the road of course.
Happy New Year everybody! (and welcome to another exciting night of NBA basketball! :D)

Ian Mahinmi is doubtful for this game. He didn't play the last Pacers game as they lost at home against the Bucks 116-120.

I think that this one is a must win game for us. We have an almost identical record and we'll be battling with the Pacers for a playoff spot. I'd probably say that if everything goes well for the Pistons, this team could be anything from a 3rd to a 8th seed in the east. I'm definetly expecting the Pistons to make the playoffs this year, but our fate depends on games like this one

I didn't catch our last game against the Pacers, did Ilyasova guard Miles or what?

I can't remember right now, but it what they should do. Morris should guard PG. Ilyasova will be wrecked by George otherwise

I'm not sure if Morris can stop Paul George again. It was just one of those nights. If Morris can do it on the offensive end, it'll be a fight between them. Morris is actually an awesome defender. He closed Paul last game. I'm guessing this one will go down to the wire. Drummond will have a big game again. We have momentum going into this one, the Pacers don't. But they're home so we'll see what happens.

Would like to see a small lineup with Morris at the 4 and Stanley at the 3. Drummond should feast on their front court.

Or Jennings on Hill, KCP on Ellis, Reggie on Miles and Marcus on George. I think Ersan can backup the 5 for this one too, no Baynes needed.

Winnable game and P. George really didn't have that great of a December...lets keep that trend going in January.

Yeah I'd rather not see a Baynes post up today.

After a hot start I think the Pacers end up right where we all assumed they would be headed into the season, 32-35 wins.

We're in the best conference, so we play at least 3 good teams 4 times each year.

I don't know if they'll go that low. That would surprise me. With a hot start, they're more likely to get 35-40 in my opinion.

Jordan Hill will play tonight and Mahinmi will start tonight according to Keith Langlois. Dang!

Don't feel good about this one. Indianapolis is just the better team
