We are going to be a historically bad defensive team with this starting unit. We have a platoon of soft Stretch 4s, our wings are total liabilities on the other end and our centers aren't the anchoring rim protectors we need them to be and of course Knight can't guard his own shadow

Knight taking hero ball 3's from 26 feet out. He'll soon be taking half court shots.

Hornacek will be fired tonight or tomorrow if we lose. Hopefully Knight, Morris, and Chandler are the next ones to go. Dead weight

Knight does not play winning basketball. I'm not sure if a new coach is needed who will pull him every time he takes a shot from 5 feet behind the three point line with 15 seconds left on the clock.

Who was open? Our offense doesn't move. The only person off the ball who moves on like 80% of our possessions is the guy coming to set the pick. The only other time a guy moves is to kick off the possession (with a V cut, which is basic high school hoops), and even then they usually just wait for a pick themselves or kick it back out so the PG can run the pick and roll.

Our guards aren't great at sharing the ball, but our entire offense does this. That's why we have been at the bottom of the league in assists over Hornacek's tenure despite playing more possessions than all but 1 or 2 teams.

Made Sacramento look like a Golden State.

How long before it's no longer just 2 games / 3 games / 4 games from the 8th seed.

Well, it's either that or dribble the ball at halfcourt until there's 2 seconds left, then pass it.

Kings are actually not too bad to watch. They move the ball around. The team's defense or lack of stopping abilities are holding them back. Their offense is ok. Suns offense is about one on one mainly.

Yup. And that's fine. #Tanktastic. I just hope the young guys improve over time this season. The bar is low defensively so it shouldn't take much to improve.

As long as Warren and Booker are getting minutes.. I'm happy. They look good.

Not sure how Hornacek survives a blowout loss to the Kings. Earl Watson coach for the rest of the year?

A stale bag of Doritos would be a better coach at this point.

Yup. Rondo always has an option. Guys move with a purpose. Picks are set away from the ball to get Belinelli an open jumper or to get the defense to focus on the opposite side of the court so the ball can get rotated back around to a well-positioned Cousins. Our offense has 4 guys standing around the 3 point line and waits for someone to beat someone 1 on 1 so they can kick it. We either don't move or just move to pass the ball around the perimeter. Statistically, we have been a good offensive team, but it's no wonder our assists and turnovers look like they do.

He supposed to push the pace then penetrate and dish the ball to the open perimeter man. It is what the core of our offense is built around. Players were moving and cutting but he just stands there and dribbles.

Hang on.

Knight CAN BE and HAS BEEN a good player.

Lately... You have to blame the coach for not controlling him.
On the Spurs.. Watch him become a top scoring PG.

Return to Phoenix Suns
