He said he wouldve went to Duke but his godfather is a coach at LSU. It is a shame he has to play on this bad of a team and on a team that wont even make the tourney

LOL LSU over Duke means his Godfather didn't really care about Simmons. I mean it is a pretty simple decision if I was the godfather. He can come and play for a team i coach for orrrrr play for one of the greatest basketball minds of all time. Pretty cut and dry if you ask me.

Agreed. At the college level, he should be extremely aggressive with his size and athleticism advantage. It is nice to see how aggressive he has been the last 5 minutes or so

Trust me as a Duke fan, I wouldve loved to have him on Duke this year. But ya by choosing LSU, it basically means he aint going to be playing in March. Shows loyalty to his family though

I guess with conference play starting Simmons is going to put this team on his back and carry them as far as he can. Very aggressive tonight.

If one of Jerrell Martin or Jordan Mickey would have stayed in school, this LSU team might have been somewhat decent.
It just sucks that Simmons is the only good player on the team.

Ha, I find it entertaining to see how far he can carry the scrubs on his team.

No he didn't.
No they didn't.
Ben Simmons mid-range game will be there too.
What was the point in this post?
All of them had some form of a mid-range game coming out of college. MJ is probably the GOAT from mid-range, maybe he wasn't elite out of college, but he was still pretty good. I haven't been watching Simmons lately but from what I remember, he hasn't even attempted a shot from more than 10 feet away.

IMO
Wade Baldwin IV
Malik Newman
Denzel Valentine
Caris LeVert
Isaiah Briscoe
Baldwin intrigues me as a two way prospect who can shoot not necessarily much of a facilitator as a PG.
Valentine is a shooter who can facilitate but his lack of athleticism is worrisome.
LeVert too injury prone.
Briscoe can't shoot.
Timothy Lawawu was showing two way potential. I haven't seen his shooting stats of late.
Buddy Heild's stock is rising and his shot is falling.
Some other names to watch at the middle or bottom of the first round:
Furkan Korkmaz
Melo Trimble
Wayne Seldon
Taurean Prince
Dwayne Bacon

I think Bacon is going to shoot up the draft boards once the workouts start. Has NBA body, athletic ability and size and has been the best freshman in the country (not named Ben Simmons).

Simmons is god-tier. Got to the rim, at-will. Got to the line, at-will. Dropped 36 points (16-19 free throws), 14 boards, 4 assists.

It is funny how many people are that worried about Simmons, and lose sight of how many prior high draft picks "can't shoot". It's also good to keep in mind he's 6'10", so his playmaking ability is truly rare for someone that size. His shot will come...no trainer for the number 1 overall pick.
