.....true.....except against us yesterday. WTH! Still can't get over that loss to the Nets yesterday.

Curious what it means for him next year too. Most of his final year is unguaranteed next year. I wonder if they keep him on after this while he finishes rehab.

I believe Jack has played his last game for the Nets. Would you pick up a 1 year team option ($6.3 million) for a guy who might not be 100% the entire year?

I wish Jack the best however. I think he was having a very good year.

Yehhhh.... Phoenix is going to drop and drop hard, 8 game losing streak and getting pumped by LA early

Better hope the Nets cant get someone like Lawson/Jennings on the cheap who wins them the odd game

And please blow these guys out tomorrow... those 2 losses could end up coming back to bite us hard enough already

Pretty strong stuff for a guy that watches eight hours of NBA ball a day.

I don’t think I’ve seen a team play worse than PHX is playing tonight.

They are realising how good the top prospects are in this draft. The Suns have a smart GM, the same GM who made Ainge look like a clever GM, with picking Rondo, etc.

I'm just waiting for the trade deadline. Ainge better clean his roster in the mean time. Or else...

So if we hadn't lost to the Nets twice they'd have the same amount of wins as the Lakers....

We also would've jumped the Mavs in the standings and be in the top 4 of the East

Get your **** together

Not so sure McDonough is that strategic/smart when it comes to basketball but he does strike me as someone that works hard. I mean let's face it. I may be a minority opinion on this but if the Celtics don't get KG/RA, fans view of Rondo may be a lot lower.

The fact is I think Phoenix actually wanted to keep Dragic and that would not have been good. McDonough did get a great deal from Miami but can't give him too much credit there since it is a deal he didn't even want to make. Once your forced to sell a player, any gm can sell fairly easily to the highest bidder.

Time will tell but Phoenix seemed awfully willing to sign up for the treadmill. If he recovers 100%, Bledsoe's injury may have been the best thing that has happened to them since Charles Barkley trade.

The Lakers pick is top 3 protected. I hope Phoenix goes in the toilet and has a worse record than them, and then one team in the lottery jumps into the top 3 (hopefully us,) making LA give up their pick. Philly is a mortal lock for the worst record. I actually expect Brooklyn to end up with the 5th worst record, behind Philly, Phoenix, Lakers, and Nuggets. Possibly sixth if the Wolves falter, which is a distinct possibility. Sucks for us, but that's what I expect.

I agree with this. PHO will finish with the 2nd worst record, IMO. LA has a lot more home games to play, so they will get some wins.Nuggets scare me, Minny does not look too good either. I think 5th pick is realistic...

If Celts lost to the Nets for the 3rd time tonight somebody needs to be held accountable and punished. No excuse for it at all. Winning this game means exponentially more than winning the game that locks our dumpy playoff seed

This thread is like watching a group of vultures who are hovering around waiting to pick the bones of the Brooklyn Nets...

So when the Nets play well and win, the vultures get some nervous....

And are willing to kill their own if it means getting that coveted pick......

Just some more fodder for true Celtic fans to weed thru....after being told your team sucks and has no talent....

I mean this is the new generation of Celtic fan talking....they know it all.... just disagree with them...they will throw numbers at a wall and come up with whatever crap they want to peddle...

Agree...besides MIN Im also afraid of POR, so pick could also be 7th if worst case scenario happens.

Only good thing is there is a lot of bad teams or injured teams right now in West...so a lot of games between them, more options for wins.

LAL, PHO, DEN, MIN, POR, SAC, UTA...for a team like POR that is 24 games in this 7 group teams Vs. 12 games for BRK. That is a huge difference.

BK could also win out and win the title. Then the pick would be at the end of the first round!!

The Suns are a mess. I remember a few years ago they were the hottest team in the NBA with Dragic / Bledsoe / LAL First. Fun team to watch. Things were looking really bright and they just made bad moves after bad moves.

What the..?

Or else i´ll put the main blame on Ainge for this huge fail and not totally on the coaching staff. Ainge will be doing a half assed job, with showcasing deadwood and not getting rid of them

So you want to see players like Lee, JJ, etc. make 25-30 min. a game instead of our youngsters? So you are content with them eating up their developing time?

I'm sick of watching this awful roster with players who wont be here after 1-2 seasons. I want to see the players who are our franchise's future. How will you know they are the future when you are not giving them some decent minutes each game?

I'd ratcher see Hunter, Mickey, Rozier, Young, etc. make big mistakes during games, then watching Lee, Turner, etc. who make me shake my head after some horrible plays. At least with the youngsters i can enjoy the development and see them improve, and witness their learning curve. With them i can say at least, "ah well its a learning process for these young bloods". Some will pan out and some not eventually, which keeps you in a good lottery position as well.

And if they perform so well that they are competing for the 6-8 seed, more power to them. It gives you even more hope, because you are the seeing the future of the franchise make that accomplishment and not some group who will leave your team after 1-2 seasons for a better contract somewhere else.

Dont understand your overreaction at all, tbh.

rmal8852 wrote:Sad to see Jack go down. He has been one of my favorite players since he was the only NBA player to have the stones to publicly call out Ray Allen for leaving the Cs. Called him a "traitor."

However, this has to hugely benefit us. To me, Jack was the leader of that team. Defensively, the Nets will suffer substantially. Jack's 6'3" 200 lb. frame and his aggression will be replaced by a 5'11" (that's generous) 175 lb. (that might be generous, too) Larkin.

Larkin is, amazingly, a better defender, though that might have to do with going up against back-ups. But he plays with much more defensive aggression. Attacks dribbles, blitzes passing lanes, pursues loose balls with speed and purpose.

What the Nets lose in Jack is a guy who has a pretty full toolkit offensively: can drive all the way to the rim, can absorb contact, can pull-up when contested, can pass, has the strength to drive with a guy on his hip. When he's not play like a moron, this makes him more difficult to defend, as he has a lot more options.

Larkin gets absolutely swallowed up at the rim - just a non-entity as a finisher. Makes him more predictable offensively. He also has a harder time dealing with physical defense and traps.

But he has been much better than Jack from deep, which we should all hope is just a fleeting thing.

100%

I can stomach the 8th seed if our youngsters are the ones that get us there. Not the vets who are who they are by now. Tenbomb is an old man that likes yelling at clouds
