whats up with Tyson chandler?

just looked at his stats: 5.8 ppg, 8.8 reb, 0.7 blkpg on 11.8 PER.

whats up with him? serious question. im not following news and updates about the phoenix suns. was he injured? how is the team chemistry? or did he just played badly?

He played his lowest minutes since we are trying to play small-ball at times. I think he is helpful with his leadership, rebounding and defense. I don't really care his stats at this point.

He has helped our team a ton when he plays. In tonight's game he was sorely missed....I even mentioned in the game thread before the game that I thought if Tyson was out we would likely lose and it could be ugly. But our bench was great against their bench. Our starters couldn't do anything against their's though.

He has been injured though. And he shares time with Len (that is, when we don't go small).

When he plays, we play well. When he doesn't, we have no interior defense whatsoever. Of course, our genious coach decides to not play him in crucial situations. Now he's hurt.

Can Chandler still do the same Chandler things or he's kinda like a "Jeff Foster" type that doesn't put up stats but has a tremendous impact on the game?

He can get a lot of rebounds but his major impact is floor presence and overall impact. Can't do anything on offense unless he is set up perfectly for a dunk.

To update my last statement, I meant to say "even if he is set up for a dunk".

I was just thinking. I wonder if this guy is even on Ryan McD's radar whatsoever last summer if Aldridge hadn't said he really would like to play with Chandler.

I mean 5-10 games in it really looked like he was helping, but it doesn't look like he is going to help much for the last 310 games of his contract.

He will have to be moved either before the deadline or in the offseason.

I've never seen so many missed layups/dunks at the cup. He's either done or making it clear he wants out.
