Email notifications links for recent threads going only to first page

Seems like the link in the email notifications takes you to the first page of the thread, instead of the last read page of the thread, for all threads in the past month or so.

Links for older threads still open up to the later pages, so for instance if a thread is up to 10 pages, the link will go to page 10 on older threads.

But on recent threads, it always goes to the first page.

Here's an example of a link to an older thread which goes to the last page:

viewtopic.php?f=176&t=1407537&e=1&view=unread#unread

And here's an example of a link to a recent thread, which always goes to the first page of the thread:

viewtopic.php?f=176&t=1420800&e=1&view=unread#unread

Looks like the same format but the first link goes to page 27 of a 27 page thread while the second one goes to the first page of a 3-page thread.

I think this could be related to us having to change topic tracking to cookie based instead of server based for performance issues.
