Nuggets @ TWolves

Post#1 » by DaFan334 » Wed Jan 6, 2016 6:46 am

6PM on Altitude

Nurk will get more time and Mudiay is back, although on minutes restrictions. Mudiay apparently had a good practice today. It will be very interesting to see the two play together as they could compliment each other very well IMO.

On the road, but we have had some success there already. T-pups seems to be tanking again, we should be able to take this one. I want to see what Nurkic, Jokic and Mudiay look like together..

Got luck Minny has missed shots too, hopefully we can close this out.

Wiggins seems like a talent, but his BBIQ isn't what I'd expect from a superstar. Nurkic looked impressive ( other than the fouls), 15/10 with 5 blocks in 22mins. I can see a 20/12 guy in our future :D

That was the Nurkic I remember, him and Arthur basically shut down the TWolves enough to gain control of the game, it was a noticeably different team with him in the game. It was funny watching guys bounce off of him without him even flinching. I like Jokic and think he has a great future, but Nurkic was exactly what this team needed right now.

Nurkic mentioned in the post game that he and Jokic played in Europe together, while I knew they came from the same team I did not realize that they spent much time together as Jokic spent a lot of time on the junior team up until last year. However if they played together as much as Nurkic hinted, than I would guess they must be able to play together pretty well otherwise I would think one would have been on their way out and I have not seen a hint of a rumor.

I would love to see then play together although thus far I doubt it will happen. Malone doesn't seem to want to go with an extra large front court from what I have seen with the lack of Joffrey playing the 4. This may have been due to injuries forcing him into a Center roll, but I see him as more of a big stretch 4. I would like to see him play with Nurk a little bit too as he could really help stretch the floor and still bring that added hustle to compliment the big man. Either way, Nurk is looking great thus far.

I do not know if we will see them together, there have been rumors that Faried was getting traded soon, and if that happens than we might see Jokic and Nurkic on the court together, right now we really have 5 bigs that deserve minutes, but the only true center on the team really is Nurkic. Jokic is the next closest to being a center from what I see, and with the minutes restrictions and foul problems from Nurkic we need Jokic to be the other center right now.

I heard it on a couple of podcasts, I will try to find them, also a couple of people on another board with connections to teams other than the Nuggets are saying the rumor is the Nuggets are waiting for other bigs to get healthy but have some kind of deal lined up. one of them said Bradley Beal, but nobody has confirmed that.

Nurk looks great, he clearly adds another dimension that we've been missing all season, especially on the defensive end. I can totally see Malone falling in love with a Nurkic/Arthur frontcourt. He's gotta learn to cut down the fouls though, that was a problem for him last year too.

Apparently Papa's salary would have become guaranteed today had they kept him, but I'd be pretty disappointed if it was strictly a financial move. I'd much rather have him playing those 10mpg over Mike Miller. Maybe Mudiay had a setback and they want to bring Green back? :dontknow:
