Wade was pounding the rock at times, but he sometimes has to do it to settle things down and initiate a new offense. Like I said, it's the same type of basketball he's played all year, he just played with more energy throughout the entire game tonight.

Effort wise him and Bosh were top notch, but offensively there were enough decisions by both I wasn't happy with. They've both had better efforts on that end in games we lost.[/quote"]

Both Wade & Bosh were aggressive in the sense that they didn't 'just settle'.....they attacked the rim more so than i have ever seen them in any other game and THAT is the main difference. And as a result we won....where in the past we'd have lost this sort of game. 30 to 52 points in the paint is all i need to point out on the differences and changes in Wade's & Bosh's game that made us successful in this game. That's 22 more points than the Pacers as a result of being aggressive and not settling. That cannot be understated.

Furthermore Wade only had 2 more shot attempts than Bosh - this is an acceptable stat going from what i had posted earlier. It indicates that somebody else was attemting just as much shots and it helps that it is our most efficient player. Again Wade's hero ball is not beneficial when he is the sole player taking up majority of shots - especially when he settles for mainly jumpers. That was not the case in this game. Far from it!

Not even close? Read my post, I said they settled too much. Let's look at their shooting stats:

Bosh:
1-1 from 25-29 ft.
1-5 from 20-24 ft.
2-6 from 15-19 ft.
0-2 from 10-14 ft.

That's 4-14 and if you want to exclude the 10-14ft. range still 4-12. 12 of his shots were from the outside, he made them at a poor clip. Of course he settled too much.

A prime example of him settling too much was his pathetic fadeaway with 4 seconds left. I understand him wanting to get a shot off early so we can still get a rebound but he let the defender push him into the corner and instead of at least skipping it to the other side, he simply pulls up for a stupid hero shot.

Wade:
0-1 from 20-24ft.
0-6 from 15-19ft.
0-3 from 10-14 ft.

That's 0-10 on longer shots. 10 of his 22 shots were long shots and he made none of them. That is clearly a case of settling too much.

His prime examples of the night: The 19ft. pull-up he took with 25 seconds on the game clock in the 4th and his 16ft. pull-up with 7 seconds on the game clock even though we could've let it run down further since we were up one.

As I also said, both players made up for it by attacking the rim hard, Wade being 9-12 from close range and Bosh going 13-16 from the foul line, but there was plenty to criticize and plenty of the criticism you often came up with against Wade in recent weeks when it wasn't as bad as in this game.

As for the shot attempts part: You were criticizing Wade for shooting too much because it hampers the flow of the game, but it's not much different if two guys take many shots and there's rarely been a game where Wade shot the ball this much. He had 22 FG attempts AND 10 FT attempts while Bosh had 22 FG attempts AND 16 FT attempts.

Now I'm not criticizing them for it, the team was struggling and you need your best players to be aggressive. But you are inconsistent with your criticism if you like what they did today and criticize them in other games. There was hero ball, ball stoppage and plenty of opportunities where they settled, much more so than in other games. They just made up for it by also driving the ball plenty and exerting a lot of energy to win the game, just like the entire team did.
