DIdn't notice that before. Also Dirk should have been Td up when he was yelled at the ref, and also an offensive foul when he pushed Collison

No mention of Cousins blocking Zaza at the rim, when he clearly pushed Zaza's left shoulder? That was a critical play. 1:39 left, 113-109, would be #6 for Cousins. Gay goes the other way and hits the 3.

Also, no mention of a McGee foul where it was actually Cousins who wrapped his arm around McGee's head(I believe that would have been foul #5 on Cousins).

Also, in the play that Dirk yelled - watch the replay - he got pushed on the back by Anderson - that gave the Kings an extra possession to kill clock.

With that said. I do agree with: 1) Dirk was lucky not to be called for a foul on Collsion. 2) should have received a technical.

It was an entertaining game. Mavs were terrible in the fourth quarter. Kings had multiple chances in the OTs. I really can't believe they blew a 7 point lead with 1:15 left to go... then again...it's very much a Kings thing to do. I think Collison was expecting the Mavs to foul or something, but there's no excuse not to have hit the rim. If I recall it, the last two possessions were airballs. Mavs were very lucky. Considering how the West is and how the Jazz/Pelicans look, the Kings have a very good chance to be in the playoffs though. Even the Mavs are far from being a safe bet considering the inconsistency in their game/effort.

Dirk's clothesline of Collison to tie the game happened waaaay before Cousins blocked Zaza, so if that was called the game would have been over.... Both teams have complaints, which to me says the poor officiating went both ways.

Yeah, I agree with you.

What are your thoughts on the possibility of a Collison foul on the play?

Watching the play live, I felt the refs let the play go on, with Collison mugging Dirk, but since he's a little guy they allow him to have his hands all over the Dirk. Then Dirk pushes off.

Make no mistake, I agree that an offensive foul should be called. But, I also did feel that the offensive foul was a consequence of Collison being all over Dirk. Watching the replay or just looking at the pictures above, you can see Dirk's jersey was grabbed and then Dirk pushed his elbow against Collison.

By the way, I have now checked the NBA officiating review. This is what they say on that Dirk play.

Q5 00:33.3
Foul: Offensive
Dirk Nowitzki
Darren Collison

Nowitzki (DAL) makes a legal move prior to his made jump shot attempt.

Crazy that they don't think that particular move was a foul.

Anyway, I only posted because I actually had been frustrated with the refs pretty much all game. Then the Mavs eventually got those two breaks. In the end, the game was decided by the teams. Mavs should have won it in regular time. The Kings should have won it twice in OT.
