No reason to have Cousins in the game early in the 3rd with 4 fouls. Karl blew it.

As for the defense its the same old song.

The important thing is whether or not Karl saw them. They were pretty clear. Late in this game he did the exact opposite of what he did in the Dallas game and it has them coming out with a W. There is no reason the Lakers pick and roll should have been allowed to do that for that long.

we have played close to 40 games already, i wonder how long he can see that and finally adjust...

If he takes him out and the Lakers go on a run, we'd be saying the complete opposite

No, you don't question taking your Star out with 4 fouls early in the 3rd. It's the right move. Always. You stick to your game plan and leave your options open and keep the fouls in check. Karl altered his approach because we were up 90-65, which is exactly the opposite of what he's preaching.

We wouldn't question Karl's decision to sit Cousins, we'd be upset Cousins didn't stay out of foul trouble- and rightfully so.

Honestly the problem was we went to a 3 guard lineup without Rondo, and we stopped passing the ball around. We dribbled....shot...and the Lakers ran back in transition and got open shot after open shot

Rondo is the only PG playing decent ball right now. Collison's struggles continue. Curry couldn't stay in front of his man and had a rough go tonight. Still can't hit a shot either.

We really need to address our SG. I've tried my best to root for Ben, but it's frustrating to watch him. His handling is still very suspect and he always has these clumsy turnovers. He just looks scared to even dribble the ball and he doesn't get the best of his athleticism. When we drafted him, I thought he could be a more athletic Ray Allen, but I just don't see it. Maybe one day he'll develop, but he just doesn't have that aggressive mentality you need at that position.

Collison is sucking energy out there.. I was all for keeping him given the chance we might not be able to sign Rondo in the offseason or he somehow managed to be a consistently good back up under these circumstances.. But now I just don't like his presence.. and the good will from last year evaporating(ed). Even if the unfortunate happens and Rondo leaves can you trust him to be a solid starter, a guy who didn't like being replaced by Rondo and still might be jaded? I don't know how much more I can take

Hated that we lost that 27 point lead but a win is a win.

Just wanted to say, guys I'm happy for Kings, as a die hard Kings fan from Latvia since 2000, I think this team with this coach can fight for that 8th spot in conference if everyone is healthy to end the ten season non playoff basketball, Kings fans deserve get back in play-off picture , man I watched the game against Mavs few nights ago and I was impressive,I was just waking up at 4-5 AM in the morning just to watch them, yeah we blow the OT, but man these Kings fight hard those Belinelli two clutch three pointers and Cousins who is the best big man in the league in my opinion right now is playing awesome, these Kings are fun to watch man!!!
I cannot wait for late March to see Kings in Sleep Train Arena and city of Sacramento, cause these are my childhood memories with this Kings franchise, still I have at home 2002 teams poster what I got from one friend who lived in states.
Celtics fan.
We also face the Kings twice in the near future. I think it's time Yabu pays back some of that free money he's been given his entire career and bounces Fox for a nice 2 week ankle sprain.

After sleeping on it I have a couple random thoughts:

1. Cousins emotions have stayed in check.

2. Less emotional outbursts after missed shots has lead to Cousins getting back in transition and less pouting.

3. Curry is not ready to be a back up PG. He's a work in progress.

4. Belinelli's shot is starting to fall. Slump over?

5. I've noticed Gay isn't dribbling the ball as much as he did early on in the season. Wonder if Karl had a talk with him? I like it.

6. QUINCY ACY! Man I don't understand how he doesn't get more playing time? I'd much rather play him instead of a 3rd guard. His energy and rim protection is a must have for the team.

7. Karl needs to realize Cousins can't play nice and avoid fouls. This isn't the first time Karl has left Cousins in the game only to watch him pick up a costly foul that puts DMC on the bench for a looooong time.

8. I miss WCS

Yup. I'm sure ppl are pissed about Sac blowing the huge lead, but it says something when your up 27, then down 1 & going back & forth, & STILL hold it together to make winning plays & come out with a dub.

In those situations I was waiting for people to start yelling, just loosing their ****, but nope. That shows something. No they're a half game out of the playoffs. Seems as if all the bs is finally behind them.

Now WCS needs to come back, be active as **** for 20-24mpg (at whatever position) & tighten up the defense.

Ben just needs to attack & attack. Got what 4 buckets at the rim in the first? Great to see him flying & dunking.

Yeah, we definitely need WCS back. The guy is quietly one of our best players.

Return to Sacramento Kings
