As an organization, our #1 priority should be the future. It's Archie's 3rd year and we are 13-25......why the hell is he getting DNP-CD's!?!?!? He has played well enough when given minutes in the past to deserve an opportunity. We can always trade him if we decide he isn't part of the future.
I'm just disgusted. Hornacek really set this franchise back badly with all his stupid moves.
Archie sucks. The reason Price plays is a demand to try to get to playoffs and to use game time to develop guys who are terrible.
Despite your evaluation, he has put up nice numbers pretty much every time he's gotten decent minutes. Small sample size, but we need to see more. Why not play him? This team is going nowhere near the playoffs with Bledsoe out and Hornacek running the show. Due to Hornys stupid in game decisions we can't even win close games so how the hell are we supposed to pass up Utah this year?
The worst thing that can come from playing Archie is a better chance at getting Simmons. Best case, he breaks out.
Yup.
His stats for games he played 19+ minutes is pretty nice... 12ppg 5rpg 2apg and a steal.
People here judge his lack of "smoothness" and lack of shooting from outside as him sucking. But on a team that values paint penetration and slashing from their PG to draw fouls.. Goodwin will be appealing.
Also he is disruptive defensively... his wingspan really does help him cover perimeter players... problem is.. he gets screened easily due to his skinny frame, but that improves as they mature up 23~26 years old.

Does Hornacek think PJ Tucker is LeBron James? Why is he playing every minute?

I'm so glad Miami gets to shoot three times as many free throws as us on our home court. But then again, our fans are rooting for Miami, so maybe the refs are confused, or our fans just suck.

OK, I agree, he actually does look pretty good in the minutes he gets usually in garbage time when we have a huge lead or are way too far behind and both teams are playing scrubs. He's a good street ball player. To rely on him in nba games when it matters though, scares me.

For the love of God, can we stop throwing lobs to Tyson? He's not throwing them down like he used to, and if he's even touched he gives up on it and just screams and begs for a foul.

Man, you complain more about free throw differential and moving screens being called against us but not others, etc, more than anyone I think in the history of the universe.

It's the NBA, so that type of math never works. And yes, Knight is undeniably more value than Gerald. I like Gerald, but he had no place on a rebuilding team. Not at his age. Letting him go was the right thing to do, particularly when you just drafted a SG and have another SG coming over next season. How many SG's do you really want on this team?

How many possessions each game does knight bring the ball up and never pass before shooting?

When has he gotten an opportunity and looked bad?
The answer is never. There have been quite a few stints where he has been impressive. People like you that think Hornacek is a good coach are the type that come up with fictitious narratives about the team and fail to be able to analyze the reality right before their eyes.

If I recall correctly, last season Run Dog said that the Dubs wouldn't be any better than us if Draymond and Bogut were called for setting moving screen.

Why does Jeff keep playing him? How many chances does he get? And what's worse, every game he comes in and plays awful hoops his trade value tanks. Right now, you can clearly argue his season is impacted by his depression, but the larger the sample size we give of him sucking the weaker that becomes. He is simply not better than Leuer and Teletovic, who have played really damn well this year.
If we're going to tank, I'd rather do it going small and playing Warren at the 4. At least then he's seeing minutes.
