Lamb's wrist was hurting, that is probably why Daniels played his minutes.

so we're just gonna ignore coach quotes now![]()
like cliff hasn't taken out guys that are hot beforecliff would never do that
OK dude you win. Daniels is better than Lamb and we should have give Daniels the contact instead...
No need to take your ball and go home like that
daniels sucks. everyone knows this. getting benched is a message being sent. i'm just glad it happened. cliff won't do it with al because he makes too much money and he's been in the league long enough to where he can't change, but with a young guy? lamb absolutely deserved it
daniels sucks - but at least he tries to fight through screens. cliff's issue was just that - lamb doesn't even try most of the time. its forcing the rest of the guys to overhelp. again, he probably wont be like this forever but lets not talk around it

Except the fact that the coach made it a point to say that health had nothing to do with it.

No need to take your ball and go home like thatim just saying. a lack of defensive giveadamn after getting a long-term contract kinda makes you think that maybe we'd have been better off making him play for his money instead of just handing it to him for his first day at work. do i think lamb will play this way forever? no. but you can't just 2k this whole thing by looking at a guy's potential rating and determine that he'll be worth the money in a single glance

Im glad he got benched he needs that wake up call although I do think he does give good effort on defense hes just not any good at it right now unfortunately. He will improve with the help of the coaching staff.

lamb is starting to pick up his game, he has an exciting future in my opinion. Alot of announcers say the same thing. Only things holding him back are his crappy defense and his inconsistency.

Really, show me the quote where Cliff said Lamb sat due to effort on d. What I saw was assumptions by a reporter.

And that reporter was right. Lamb was lazy and lacked intensity last game so he got benched. Came out looking to prove something today

You can't watch that presser and say that wasn't what Cliff was saying.

Great game from Lamb.
As I've previously said, I really like his effort on the glass.
He'll figure it out and become starter quality imo and if he doesn't he's a good scorer to have coming off the bench.
win-win for the franchise.

Fully agree, although his extended shooting slump has me quite worried. The guy is now down to 31% from three on the season and has been in the mid-20s since the tail end of November. He's a very productive scorer inside the arc, but his outside shot has been a real disappointment- probably a bigger disappointment than his defense. I was definitely hoping for a percentage in high 30s.
If he can push his three-point percentage to 40% in the next year or two, he's a potential 20ppg scorer.
This feels like Hendo all over again lol

Even though no Hornet has been chosen by the NBA to play on All Star Weekend, Lamb is headed to Toronto for All Star Weekend to be a youth counselor and coach.

Re: Rustler - The Jeremy Lamb Thread
Pretty cool for Lamb. Glad to see he is getting out of his shell.
Oh, I forgot to mention... Yesterday Lamb was being interviewed on NBA talk on Sirius. His interview was rather boring, mainly just a bunch of cliches and stuff. However, after it was over, the host mentioned that he's been talking to Lamb on and off air for years and this was, by far, his best interview. He mentioned just how far Lamb has come in the last year in terms of confidence. I thought that was pretty cool.

I think we often forget the human aspect of sports and how much self esteem and confidence can contribute to development.

Bump... why is this on the third page...
freakin hariston's thread is on the first page and he's not even on the team any longer...
So what's going on with Lamb... stuck in a rut, rhythm, sth else?

After that fiery start to the season, he's been kind of underwhelming. I like his potential though. Don't regret giving him that contract.

He's not going to get consistent time until he starts busting his ass defensively

Rather disappointing considering all the hype I've heard about him for years.

Re: Rustler - The Jeremy Lamb Thread
anybody else hear Eric Collins during the MIN game say Jeremy is "a wolf in Lamb's clothes"? Collins is a fan lol
I was hoping he'd be a knock down 3baller, unfortunately he's more interesting taking the ball to the rim
And his defense: oy
