It sucks because these dudes could have been fighting or at least lining up fights to make a living. Nope, waiting on a call from the ufc that isn't coming. Scummy business practice.

When companies want to make big announcements, they want to keep information as close to heart as possible to minimize changes of leaks. But this is just cutting guys from a roster, it's not a big announcement so I really, honestly, cannot see a reason why they couldn't be contracted directly before they are cut. Just an email with a standard template is fine even.

Boggles the mind

no. I listen for the training room stories but everything else is depressing.

the three Laranja eps are must-listens, though. dude has been the smartest one in the room his whole life. and has had to toy with people out of boredom. making fun of people's pretensions for amusement. he does the same here. he's practically doing a show on the side for only himself, no one else is able to riff with him (they're idiots), they're missing 3/4s of his remarks. he's a legit genius. deep, deep intelligence

Alright, you peaked my interest. I only see that he was on there twice though, do you know when the third was?

Context clues say that Meisha/Holm is a go.

Smart move, even if Holms loses, RR will definitely take the Meisha fight and that will draw huge. She wins, and they do a rematch of Holms and it draws huge as well.
You get two huge pay days instead of one massive one.

God, this is one of the best things I've ever seen. Demian Maia advertised on twitter a bjj seminar he was doing, and the following exchange occurred:

And Magny actually went! :D

And more! http://mmajunkie.com/2016/01/how-neil-magny-learned-more-than-a-few-new-moves-at-a-demian-maia-seminar

I mean both guys look great here, but..

“I had kind of got to feeling like I was untouchable, then this guy comes along and exposes me on the ground,” Magny said. “I was like, ‘How can I get to the point that he’s at right now?

Good luck with that.

It's pretty cool when guys who've fought in the past come together to learn from each other.

Well if there's not a link to click I don't think it's click baiting.

Maybe we could get Goodell to call a reporter full of **** because that might get him fired.

Kawajiri vs Bermudez on some random fightnight. Am I off base saying that is almost as bad as Aoki/Sakuraba? The few performances from Kawajiri I have seen in the ufc have been terrible, he is pushing 40, and Bermudez hits like a truck.

Heartbreaking, man. Its just weird though because Dana told me that cheerleading is more dangerous than mma.

Cheerleading is dangerous, but it's mostly ankle and knee sprains.

Every sport is dangerous if we define "dangerous" as number of injuries and then count up sprains and strains. Pickup ball at the Y? Dangerzone.

Regardless, the cheerleadhing comment was just me being facetious. The point of the post was Goodridge, I can remember us discussing it on here when the news was first announced. I thought people may want an update.
