It's almost the half and we have a great lead.
I'm more focused on the NFL playoffs at the moment but I'm streaming the Hawks.

Great start by the home team.

The Bulls are a quality opponent and they managed to narrow the gap before halftime.

CHI will come out with a vengeance. We need to weather that storm.

notes: Horford leads all scorers with 15. Going 7/11 inside the arc with only a single 3 point attempt.

Dennis Schröder lead the team in rebounding at the half.

DS was the PG on the floor to close out the first half.

Mike Scott might be guaranteeing himself another NBA contract with his hot shooting and overall solid play of late.

THJ appears to be a permanent addition to the rotation.

KK looks good tonight.

Bulls defense is...bad tonight.

Mediocre at best.

This 4th quarter is how we should always be playing.

Glad Atlanta were the ones to cool the bulls off for the moment.

Great win, huge win, marquee win. If we had lost this, the Bulls would've been 4 games up on us in the loss column for second place, and we might've ended up falling to sixth.

Al Horford was the boss tonight. Last season we didn't have a single player get to 30 points all season, Al's done it twice so far this year.

Kyle Korver made his first four shots, including two 3s. He looked comfortable out there until he missed one.

Another interesting observation is that when the Bulls greatly reduced the deficit in the 3rd quarter, it was Dennis Schroder who ended up leading us back to a double digit lead.

Great to beat a team we might face in the playoffs, even if it seemed like we were playing 5 on 8 for a lot of the game, because those refs were TERRIBLE.

You should thank Pau on the win. Best Hawks player in decade.

It's becoming more difficult to deny. That young man is indeed a starting caliber player. At this point...it's just a matter of where and when?

Huge win tonight.
Going into the game we happened to be favored by 2 points but we completely blew them out of our house tonight.

Dennis Schroder played well most of the game with his best work in the second half scoring 10 of his 13 points (the 19th time he’s scored in double figures this season) and dishing four of his eight assist in the fourth quarter.

Coach Budenholzer spoke about how Schroder has performed recently saying, ” Dennis was very good. its three or four games in a row he’s come in really focused, brought an edge to us, brought a toughness to us on defense”.

I feel like watching myself when watching Jeff Teague and that ankle.

Basically I would constantly "sprain" the same ankle. Lots of pain, but could just retape and go again. I just got so used to it and I could recover easily.

It wasn't until later I found out that a ligament was in the wrong place on my ankle, which basically allowed a sweet spot there where it could just dislocate. I wasn't spraining my ankle, it was popping out and back into space quickly. It was never going to stop happening.

Alot of Jeff's comments about his ankle injuries the last three years sound like the exact same thing. About 5 doctors missed it on me. It wasn't until it stayed out of place they could tell what was happening.

Credit Bud for the low key suspension, put Dennis' head back on straight.

This is the type of Al we've expected most of the season, active on offense, rotating great on defense although Pau caught him with a few traveling pump fakes one on one.

Sap took a backseat despite a typical Sap game.

Quiet rumble of the Korver engine starting up could be heard in the background.

Mike Scott is a bit of a force off the bench.

The front office needs to intervene on the behalf of Jeffrey's ankles and get him to wear some damn protection even though Dennis' play seemed to motivate him some in the second half.

Splitter needs more ballet lessons although the Splitt/Horf/Sap lineup performed well defensively. He was active despite misses so I forgive that 3 attempt.

Good to see Korver had a good game.

Teague and Dennis just dominated Rose all game long. The pressure they put on Rose was just suffocating.

The Bulls' interior defense is just flat out bad, maybe the worst in the league. I'm glad the Hawks didn't try and overpay for Pau Gasol a few year ago. Hawks were smart in not offering him a contract at his age. Pau is basically just a bench player with an all star contract.

I really like what i saw from McDermott. I hope the Hawks can get him down the road. McDermott looks like he is having the same problems in Chicago that Korver had, not getting respect or coaching from the Bulls organization. It looks like McDermott will be wasting away in Chicago, but as soon as he goes to an organization that can coach him like the Hawks or Spurs, I think that Doug can turn into an all star like Korver.

Bulls fans still talk as if they're some elite team that should run all over the Hawks, it's insane comedy. Good to smack them around at every opportunity! ☺

I agree.

The Bulls are a very good team, and this is a very good win for us: a marquee win against a team we might meet in the playoffs.

But there is no way they're some elite team where it ends up being a shock that we beat them. I've been reading a few posts on the Bulls board where their fans are having this kind of mentality and looking down at the Hawks. The Bulls are as much of a second tier team as we are.
