Gotze's had his own problems. But the position he has been playing these past years is not the one where his talents made him one of the brightest young stars on the planet.

Your genius coach put him there even though he hasn't been performing well. However, can't really blame Pep because he simply doesn't have that much talent to be one of the stars in the world.

while it would be a difficult homecoming, i would welcome götze back in dortmund. only question is, where he would find a spot?

as for auba. he has a contract til 2020!!! i think any club would have to pay a lot of money. as watzke would say, an oil field would be in order. and we know from the whole lewandowski to bayern situation, that watzke doesn't care for the money, if he isn't able to find the right replacement.

That might be a nice dream, but in reality he should take a look at it and with those EPL teams loading in on cash this summer, you've got to sell if there's an ridiculous offer for Aubameyang in the summer.
That would also give the club a shot at buying a replacement with the money and maybe strengthening other areas.

BTW: Seems like we've got a huge dude defending for us in the second half of the season.

Anyways, the deal's said to be worth about €8M(loan + option to buy) and we've got to make a decision in april.
I guess we should give him the Eberl diet(lost over 8 kilos last year) and putting him into a room with Martin Stranzl should give him a chance to learn from a real vet.

Marcel Reif quits Sky after this season.
One terrible commentator less to listen to. He is #2 on my worst commentators list right behind Bela Rethy. Fritz von Thurn und Taxis takes the #3 spot.

He might be leaving Sky but he's also stated that he won't step down completely.
I guess we might have to prepare for the terrible triangle of Bela Rethy, Steffen Simon and Marcel Reif during the european championships, given that ARD/ZDF would be the most logical landing spot for him with them broadcasting the tournaments and ZDF also having the rights for the champions league. :nonono:

Buschmann's terrible at anything besides basketball and the only reason for that was his emotional broadcasting style.
Though, he hasn't been doing basketball for quite some time now and I always shudder listening to him broadcasting american football.

Timm Klose officially leaves Wolfsburg for Norwich for the rumored 12M: insane. Sule still the expected replacement: lame.

In other Hoffenheim news; the club are said to be closing in on a move for Leicester's Kramaric. Their next attempt to spark that attacking unit which has been so dreadful now that Volland must do it all without his partner in crime. If their midfield gains some competency (aka Amiri takes over the 10) and Kramaric settles in much better than Vargas has, this might just be a good way to get both club and player on track...though a Philipp Ochs breakout wouldn't go amiss for them either...

I'm not into tennis at all. One of the least watchable sports for me. I'll be watching darts before I watch tennis lol

Yes, I'm watching tennis since the Becker/Graf days and I'm very happy that Eurosport finally seem to have a "german window" again.
Though, I don't like the French Open much(never liked playing on clay myself, whenever I played a bit) and favour the Aussie and US Open.

On a football note.
cgf will be able to watch left back Christopher Lenz playing at the "Alte Försterei" as Union Berlin has signed him from our reserves.
Lenz is from Berlin and signed with us a couple years ago from the Hertha BSC Academy.

Oh, and the Xhaka saga keeps on going.
After stating one week ago that €50 M would be enough for Gladbach to sell him, Bild has "written" another article now stating that €40 M would be our asking price.
Them guys are really knowledeable, I guess... :rofl:

Though, I expect him to go in the summer and it seems like Arsenal(for €40M +) could be his new team.
