Went to the game unfortunately.

-Vuc looks very slow in person this year... Slow to react on defense. Is he playing through an injury?
-Vuc does not set good picks for guards.
-Evan falls asleep on defense.
-The offensive system is absolute garbage.
-AG is our best player today. It may not translate into the box score but he's our most complete player.
-Dipo may not be a star but he should be a starter.
-You can tell Mario is still learning the game but has lots of potential.
-The defensive scheme isn't "terrible" but we can never recover against the extra pass.
-We seriously miss a healthy Elf.
-Shabazz must get paid by the dribble. Evan needs to go to the bench to stop this crap.

-This loss had nothing to do with energy/effort. Players, for the most part, were playing hard. The issue appears to be systemic and personnel related. This roster just doesn't mesh and Skiles doesn't seem willing to make any adjustments. Frye WITH Vuc does not work. It didn't work last year and it's not working this year. Evan was awful defensively last night and Skiles left him in. Where is the consistency, Skiles?

That should be question for him
Some players could do whatever they want and still gets a huge minutes
And some players can have one,max two mistakes
I understand if he is rookie and turn into mistake by mistake, get out with him
Or if he repeat same mistake that night
But if he doesn't leave him to learn from next similar situation

We were at the game. The crowd never booed the Magic, just the refs.

I really hope Skiles try a small ball lineup with AG starting at the 4:

Payton/CJ
Oladipo/Hezonja
Fournier/Harris
AG/Drew/Frye
Vuc/Smith

Only problem would be spacing as that lineup has only has one good three point shooter but I think Oladipo is out of his shooting slump an AG is decent enough to make open threes, plus it should create way more dribble penetration with Evan at the 3 so it might work.

On defense this lineup can rotate a lot better, rebound better and get back in transition way faster.

^^ Fournier should go to the bench not Harris, he has been pretty average since the starting lineup change.

But hey we beat a bunch of garbage teams so let's keep doing it I guess.

Fournier since the lineup change: 10.8 pts on 41% fg and 35% 3pt, 2.4 reb, 2.6 ast, 1.3 stl
Oladipo since the lineup change: 13.2 pts on 42% fg and 36.7% 3pt, 4.2 reb, 4.1 ast, 1.3 stl

Maybe it's time to start the better defender, rebounder and playmaker.

BTW, why is Skiles using Harris as a jump shooter?

Yeah I always wonder why Harris doesn't get in the post more. Him and Nicholson are the only two who even try to post up anymore when given opportunity.

Must be Skiles, but I don't get why. Harris is a huge SF and was the most efficient post player in the NBA last year. Surely the team knows that... I hope.

Harris has not had much success out of the post this year... 32%. He's in team player mode this season... he's excelling at that, but we can't rely on him as a go-to guy anymore.

Basketball Reference.com reveals our best 3-man combination:

AG, AN, Smith/Dipo

Now, I know that's typically against 2nd units. But we know Gordon can start. I feel Nicholson is an upgrade over Frye; maybe we should try benching Harris and Frye. Something has to change... Our offense would definitely improve.
Favorite Magic players of all time:
1. Dennis Scott
2. Andrew Nicholson
3. Anthony "no-neck" Johnson
