Looks, moves, and shoots a bit too much like Evan Turner.

Best case: Kyle Anderson
Worst case: Jared Jeffries

Simmons can't shoot and he kills spacing. Poor man's version of Julius Randle. Saric is a better player. Simmons has hollow stats since his team can't win.
“This may be one of the best jobs in basketball right now,” Colangelo said at a press conference introducing him as the new GM of the 76ers after Sam Hinkie resigned.

Double Post: Let's keep tabs on Wade Baldwin IV at Vanderbilt. If we miss Dunn or Murray, Baldwin could be our PG. 6' 10" wingspan, very solid 3 pt shooter and tenacious defender. Those are the kind of traits Sam Hinkie likes, I think...

I haven't watched one second of Buddy Hield but saw he had another monster game last night. How good is his guy? Is he a top 5 pick? Can he be as good as Bradley Beal? He's a 6'4 SG right?

seems like the classic college scorer that doesn't translate to the NBA.

Breakdown of Ben Simmons vs Kentucky

What I got from the video:

- Elite playmaking
- He's good at rotating on defense
- He has active hands on defense
- Needs to attack more
- He's able to get good positioning against smaller defenders but his teammates can't get him the ball
- Kentucky did a good job against him

He's better than Beal to me, more physical and better finisher, more poised too and bigger

What? They did the exact opposite, everybody should back off and let him shoot the ball.

Hield is simply one of the best players in college basketball this year. His percentages are crazy (52/52/90), also like his attitude as a leader. This draft has some decent mature wing players that should be available with the Heat pick. Valentine, Hield and LeVert are all decent players.

Hield is a more polished Jodie Meeks, less of a chucker version, some sort of Meeks-Foye mix.

There's maybe, 10 other guards in this draft I prefer over Hield

Hield is a great college guard. Expect him to be more of just a guy that runs off screens and catches and shoots. He will probably be a really good role player but not a starter.

Statements that Simmons has empty stats must only be looking at the stats...watch his game. He is elite...

The biggest knock on Magic, Jordan and LeBron when they entered the NBA was their shooting. I'd say it didn't turn out too bad for them.

He's not quite the breakout star D'Angelo Russell is yet, but a guy to keep an eye on is Washington freshman guard Dejounte Murray. He really seems more comfortable over the last couple weeks and has taken his game to a new level. His 3-point shot is coming along, but this is a 6-5 guard with a 6-10 wingspan, elite handles, very good passing ability and he's a potential lockdown defender.

I bet he turns into a lottery pick this year.

Quarterman is a good player, but if he didn't go nuts, this game is different. They didn't let Simmons beat them which was probably the game plan. He had a good game, but not insane.

Didn't let Simmons beat them or did Simmons choose to let Quarterman take over? I think it's the last option, kid is a natural teamplayer and is willing to step down if someone is shooting lights out.

like barely anyone interests me outside of Simmons/Ingram

I agree that it is overall a weak draft. It isn't as bad as 2013, but it is pretty bad.

There are good prospects available in the 3-8 range, but not the type of guys that you can bank on.

If there was ever a draft where we needed to be in the top 2 it is this one.

This is going to be a role player heavy draft so teams in the middle should be able to eat as teams in the lottery reach for high potential guys in hopes of them becoming great. This is probably the best upperclassmen class in a while for example.

too bad for us we need Jesus soooooooooooooooooooo
