... Jerry West would ever come back here to do what he does best?

I think we'd all sleep easier.

That has to begin with Jimmy being relieved of his duties followed by West selling his ownership stake in the Warrirors franchise, who are moving to a new arena in San Francisco soon by the way and West somehow getting younger (he's 77). So not happening.

That would be the dream.

I'd say there's probably 0 chance tho.

I don't think Jim and West ever had a problem with each other, but I doubt he'd come back to be his son's boss... I think he's hoping his son climbs the ranks and him being here could only stunt that.
I think he rides out the current roster with GSW then retires for good.

Would you rather win the lottery, or get Jerry West back as full GM (assuming a full stint of at least 3-5 years)?

I'm leaning towards Jerry

I don't think Jerry has it in him to be a full-time GM anymore. Slava said it, but it needs to be said again: he's 77 years old.

It took Jerry 4 years to build a championship in GS, and didn't have success in building a championship in Memphis... at least MItch has built a repeat since taking over.

I say give Mitch a chance, Make Jimmy step down go back to race horses, let Joey take over basketball control, keep Jeannie running the business side. If Mitch falters.. fire and try to bring in Phil...

Ignorance is bliss, but tell me how would 77 year old Jerry West, who took 8 years to build a championship from when Magic retired to 2000, couldn't build a championship in Memphis (2002-2005) as GM, and just consults for the Warriors be able to right the ship.

Zero chance. We just need to let Mitch do his job.

Are you implying that Kupchak is a better GM than Mr. West? That's what it sounds like.

Ah.....no Jerry didn't build the Warriors, that would be former UCLA player Bob Meyers who is the actual GM. And even he DIDN'T draft Curry that was done by another GM. Jerry was brought on only as a consultant but when you have moxey like West does, they respect his opinions on the draft, free agency and trade stuff.

Mitch worked with West for many, many years, he's the closest thing to him in the world. Buss needs to give full control to Mitch, almost every move he has made, specially the draft picks, have been on point.

Honest question: How do you KNOW who makes what decision and who to give credit to?

Buss is on record saying that Kupchak has final call. Is he lying?
