When I play at the local rec center or park, I can hit 3s and take it to the rim at a decent level but I cant a pull up J to save my life.
I watch Westbrook do it so easily over and over again, I get that he's an NBA superstar so no s**t but still, it's amazing how I practice on that exact shot and it's still never even close to going down.
Its hard if you dont practice it...
On my team, that off dribble shot under pressure is my speciality... years of practice. I would hit more shots off a dribble fading either left, right or backwards rather than a clean jump shot, mainly because I practiced those shots more than open shots.
I play kinda like Andre Miller but with a decent 3pt shot. I usually live in the post when I play but then when I'm playing against bigger people, I can hit the 3 enough to keep players honest.
My specialty shot is my hook shot in the paint though, unblockable without fouling (against the type of players I play).
Yea I've been practice on the off the dribble pull up jumper for nearly a year now. Its a hard shot, especially to maintain to hit while maintain balance.
